Apple's "brave" price rise 10:24pm on 03 Mar 2009 I believe, it's not brave but stupid. We are ripped off in this country and like you say, the prices did not go the other way when the dollar was weak against the pound. I was thinking about purchasing a mac mini but may decide on getting a clearance model or a 2nd hand one instead.

I have to say that I found your article particularly interesting especially regarding your speed issues with your current broadband. In our house we had our broadband from talktalk which offered "up to 8Mbps" and after 1 1/2 years worked fine until the modem gained a fault, which talktalk failed to repair and we subsequently switched and now have a BT Home Hub on their "unlimited" package. The problem with BT is that the speed is extremely slow and has never been over 512Kbps in the 3 weeks it has been installed and the line apparently now has a "fault" after a tedious phone call to customer services and will have to be checked and repaired by them in the next 2 days. My point is that, although these companies are now trying to branch out into these new supposedly faster technologies, the current technology on offer should provide better speeds to customers like ourselves especially when higher speeds had been consistent before all the trouble occured.

A long rant, but one that I feel should be mentioned when it comes to these broadband companies and their targeted speeds.
Keegan exit turns heat on Ashley 4:29pm on 02 Sep 2008 Yet again, the biggest loser will be the newcastle fans who have a better looking team this season and have 4 points from 9 with two of the three teams played coming from the 'top four'. A shame really but as a leeds fan, I really hope dennis wise does not get the job. Not convincing as a manager at leeds and he will have no chance at Newcastle.
KP's Golden Wonders 10:51am on 02 Sep 2008 To 19. I wouldn't have thought that England are in the position to actually not be picking players 'that can only just score goals' and nothing else. I myself would be happy if all owen did was score goals for England because half the time, I watch England and can't help but think they could be on the pitch the entire week and wouldn't score enough goals to win the game.
Also, the idea of not picking woodgate and picking lescott and upson instead is a bit baffling to say the least.

Although I sometimes don't agree with everything you say you make some very good points in regards to those comments above about yourself. In response to some of the comments regarding his place of birth, don't be so narrow-minded. It's not the first time we have had somebody with a different place of birth and bare in mind that there are and have been many footballers who have played for other countries because of their parentage. KP will always be an England player in my eyes and good luck to him with the captaincy.
The biggest issue I have is with the wicket-keeper.
Brilliant Flintoff brings Test back to life 8:03pm on 31 Jul 2008 Yeah I think he was overused a little however Flintoff was fantastic today and certainly has given England a chance. I personally believed Broad should not have been dropped after a great batting display even though his bowling looked a bit tired and didn't take enough wickets. Tomorrow has the potential to be a very good day of cricket. Let's hope England remember how to bat when it comes to their second innings.
Will Leeds march on to promotion? 2:31pm on 29 Jul 2008 post no.1, typical of somebody who should keep their opinion to themselves. We have a great chance of promotion this season although anything can happen in league 1.

Apple's future without Steve Jobs 3:35pm on 25 Jul 2008 In response to what Deeptank said he could not be further from the mark in regards to Apple going down the pan when steve Jobas leaves. it simply will not happen. Apple are in a far better place now than when Steve last left and the belief that the iPod is a little inferior device has to be the biggest joke I have ever heard, just look at the way it transformed the way people listen to their music and the sheer volume of sales of the device since it launched. As soon as I saw this blog I knew the Apple haters would come out of the woodwork in regards to the coverage by the bbc. I have to admit that it can be a bit much on some occasions but I can see why this blog was done, although too many 'ifs' and 'whens' to constitute anything other than pure gossip.

Well yes, Sky may have one in three households but in my house and I am sure I am not the only one, the sky subscription is not without its flaws and problems. There have often been problems with our box and also on occasion, with the service provided and when the problem was finally solved, it was usually after too many phone calls and sky finally admitting to there being a problem. I myself don't want that so-called service when it comes to music and I certainly don't want to pay a free for streaming music and no doubt a surprisingly small "set" of DRM free music.
One of the reasons why we still have sky is because the competition is quite poor when it comes to the channels available whereas this is not the case in the music download market. I would be very surprised if this does 'dent' apple's stake in the market. I however, will not be using sky as iTunes is extremely easy and relatively hassle free.
