As obnoxious and tiresome as this election has been, I'll be feeling withdrawals in the next couple of weeks.
A lift for those who are down 02:06am on 30 Oct 2008 I can vouch for CBT: It pulled me out of the hole and didn't make a lifelong therapist-goer out of me.

I combined it with a psychiatrist-prescribed low dose of antidepressant medication, but I sincerely believe it's the talk therapy that makes a recovery long term (hopefully as close to permanent as possible). I'm a believer.

In the United States, I know patients of psychological therapy are most common in urban areas. It's probably a combination of the fact that it's more socially acceptable there, there are more therapists to choose from, and maybe income has something to do with it since it's either partially or not at all covered by health insurance.

That Powell endorsement at this point in the game must have devastated the McCain campaign, no matter what McCain told the press.
The First US Presidential Debate - Live 03:57am on 27 Sep 2008 I agree that the moderator wasn't very effective and that he missed a lot of opportunities to make the candidates state their points more plainly.

McCain looked quite angry most of this debate. It'll hurt viewers' perceptions of him, especially those who see him as a loose cannon.
Mind-boggling contempt for Bush 6:06pm on 26 Sep 2008 I almost feel bad for Bush. But obviously the more contempt the GOP shows for Bush, the more they can distance themselves from his presidency and give McCain a prayer at a win. And I guess a minority of them might even care about the taxpayer, who employs them, after all.

I don't know many people saying "Good show, John." Not a good week for him.

At least the debate's still on tonight.
