I get it and like it and use it to network with people whose work overlaps mine even if their personal life doesn't. More than once I have been alerted to new versions of existing software via following the right people.

I have even used it to follow the rugby with a friend tweeting the important events as they happened. I was away from a radio/TV for the day but wanted to keep track of the game.
Mobiles - are you a toucher or a typist? 10:58am on 23 Sep 2008 I'm a toucher having had an HTC Trinity, aka Orange SPV M700, for just over 18 months now. Took me a while to find a keyboard i could use on screen with a finger but i have persevered and found one and can now type almost as fast on it as i can on my PC, yes I am a two finger typist.
Freeserve and ten years of boom and bust 8:57pm on 22 Sep 2008 I am still using the account i signed up for in 1998 having seen it go from PAYG to an all i can eat dial up and did that mark a change in my surfing habits or what? I have now been with them for Broadband for a few years and have to say I have had very little trouble over the years.

The email address from day one is still live but as it gathers a shed load of spam is never used for anything useful.
Tech corr in tech hell 10:22am on 15 Jul 2008 In reply to charlieperry, i must disagree that one of the free email addresses is the way to go, you hand over so much of your details in return for what? the convenience of being able to get at your email from any PC, don't think so.

I do have an account with each of the free providers but I also have two domains that I have registered and each has a fully functioning email system. Neither domain is registered or hosted by my ISP so Yes I may be paying more but each supplier only has one thing to deal with

If I am just registering on a site for a download or similar then i will use one of the free accounts, but if it is for a professional type forum then i will use a more professional looking address.
