Have you seen chicks in the nest this week? 11:09pm on 02 Oct 2009 My wife is tells me there are currently House Martin chics in the nest at her playgroup based in Pencombe Village Hall, Herefordshire.
Have you heard a chiffchaff this week? 11:04pm on 02 Oct 2009 My office in Hallow, Worcestershire overlooks some trees, and all summer long I have been privileged to see a chiffchaff flittering about right outside my window. I see him every week.

I've recently been really surprised to still be seeing him at this time of year, and funnily enough, just yesterday I clearly heard him singing his 'chiff-chaff' song. Just heard him the once though, even though he's often around.
The ramifications of the Singapore race fixing verdict 3:34pm on 21 Sep 2009 In relation to Flavio's football club, QPR, given that "The qualifying conditions for the fit and proper person test state that nobody can be a director or hold a majority interest in a club if they are "subject to a ban from a sports governing body relating to the administration of their sport", does this mean Briatore will now be forced to sell his stake in QPR?
Networks and the iPhone 11:01am on 17 Jul 2009 I'd love to buy an iPhone. Trouble is, I can't get an O2 reception at my home, so it looks like I will never buy one.

Until:
a) Orange (the only phone company that I can currently get a signal with) is allowed to sell iPhones; or
b) O2 create an AFFORDABLE method to allow me to use a phone at home by tapping into my home broadband wireless network,

it will just not be feasible for me to buy one. So, fingers crossed with this news!

By the way, a small clarification: when you say "Down 22% to 17%" do you mean it dropped from 39% to 17%, or do you mean it dropped from 22% to 17%?
Apple - angering the fans? 11:53am on 10 Jun 2009 I would love to own an iPhone, but unfortunately I simply cannot get a signal from O2 at home. So, until Apple consider allowing other mobile providers to sell iPhones, I will never be a customer of theirs, however willing.
