Corporate banking is transferred from Bank of England to RBS. Hmmm..
Defence procurement is transferred to an account with RBS. Hmmm..

Perhaps Peston should do some proper Business work here as this effects English Businessness and Taxpayers on a massive scale.

It is not the system. It is either her incompetance or malice. Either way she has to go. I would also like to knw why the BBC did not raise that she now claims she has evidence to prove her sisters home was the main residence. Well that then gets her into trouble as to apply for a school for her children she would have put her family residence as the main home. If she has done that she has broken the law over schools adminstration or if not she has abused the MP expenses system. If she has proof for her sisters home then the BBC should have immediately raised the legality of her schools choice. The porn issue is just a secondaary matter that adds to the evidence but she should have already gone over the expences versus school choice.

The Goldman infallibility myth 1:32pm on 16 Mar 2009 Following on Number 28. I seem to recall a report last year that all the US Majors put their transactions through London. This allows them to write their losses off against UK tax liabilities over the next decade or so. Which means the US Treasury will not be unhappy as its the Brit Taxpayers who will be propping up the US Majors balance sheets. UK as the US's Muggins again!

Goldman Sachs fund the Bilderberg meetings and allegedly manage their bank accounts. The US Treasury man in charge of all the US bailout billions is an ex-Goldman partner and they benefit from the handouts nicely. Come on work it out instead of repeating the blather and spin being put out.
Sorry for what? 2:11pm on 06 Mar 2009 Brown will not say sorry until the groundwork has been done by his colleagues and apologists first. The lack of a need to apologise was clearly shown in your report yesterday where you published half an hour before the Brown US speech was even finished and consequently quoted an incorrect number of ovations. By having pet reporters instead of critical ones he can continue to get away with it and move on. The lack of your own apology shows the low level that the political bubble has reached and is surely hypocritical for you to publish a speech about saying sorry the very next day. Shameful.
Brown's message to the United States 09:45am on 05 Mar 2009 In a planned political speech you allow pauses to be indicated where ovations are expected. The fact that you report 19 when there was only 17 is revealing. The 17 figure has also been confirmed in a number of BBC broadcasts. I therefore find it unacceptable that a State broadcaster, in the US at my license expense, just reports from a sheet of paper handed out beforehand by Labour PR goons and it then be used to create an impression of it being a report on what happended. The ovation total you claim along with the publication time of your comments are damning. A very poor effort but sadly not without the predictable bias. Shameful.
What Brown will say to Congress 09:38am on 04 Mar 2009 Nick, another bland article that you could have written in just 5 minutes. Why not discuss the fact that Congress are really not happy about Brown blaming America all the time; that the US followed his global lead; that a "fiscal stimulus" is needed when they have done massively more than him; that this is "not a time for inexperienced leaders" ; refusal to take the blame or say sorry; the complete and utter lie that he has been pressing for stronger global regulation when he has in fact been arguing for a less hands on regime for over a decade; that his creation of the supervision in the UK is not working and subsequent and its effect on global finances; that RBS has a US listing and has affected their businesses; etc...

So come on Nick show some real hard ball questioning and reporting of Brown's joke trip and fabrication of the real situation. The US are not happy so why should the BBC be?

The Americans actually can do irony.
Its not "Brown the cursed PM" its "Brown the curr-sed PM" They, like everyone I meet, cannot stand his know-all attitude plus his inability to admit errors and that he keeps blaming them for his own monumental incompetance over 12 years.
