To infinity and beyond 2:51pm on 20 Apr 2009 When i watched the interview, i got the impression Brian had been told to give his final response. If you watch it again you will notice that Brian appears to be embarresed when he says 'well actually zero is the answer' like he didnt want to say it.

Duty of Care 08:40am on 24 Feb 2009 #68 Lumonfire ... if you ever peer over the shoulders of a colleague whos reading the Daily Mail especially the Littlejohn column (whom i believe is paid 900,000 a year for 2 pages a week) you would wonder the same. Mind you it could be worse you could be reading the Daily Big Brother with the lovely Channelle .... OldNat .. down boy ....

Duty of Care 00:17am on 24 Feb 2009 RE redundancies at the Record ... maybe some of them will go for the Government post that Gordons created to encourage Labour MP's to embrace modern technology ... ie Myspace and Facebook etc. He would be better spending the money trying to persuade the vast majority of non voters that i know, that not all politicians are dirty thieving liars.

I see Dave thinks he can stop Independence. Well good luck to him if he gets in power down there but up here we have moved out of the circle of nonsense that is Labour/Tory/Labour/Tory in power.

I daresay it that a lot of English people are now quite fed up with being run by Scots and the English Independence movement will be increasing. The Union is passed it ...long live Scottish independence ... and no im not auditioning for Braveheart 2 :o)}
It's not easy being Green 4:25pm on 06 Feb 2009 #144 I know Thomas is a good loon and probably holds that 'the right to buy' is an evil tory policy and i too dont bear grudges. I think cheap social houseing is whats needed. Something that can be put up quickly but not like in the states where they have lots of people living in trailers.Something permanent. At the end of the day money is sqaundered on lots of other things and various tax scams are being carried out by big business all over and nobody seems to care. I dont think selling a house to people who have looked after it for 10 years at a discount price is necessary a bad thing . Besides if they can afford to buy it they are hardly gonna be dole scroungers .
It's not easy being Green 12:58pm on 06 Feb 2009 142 Sorry there i didnt make myself clear. My cotton wool comment was aimed at Thomas_Porter who was rather quick to point out that if you cant afford a house you should be buying one. From someone who is quite young and stays with his parents i think going out and living by yourself and having to pay for so much its quite a shock. I have 2 kids myself and until i started getting family tax we really struggled. There are not many jobs in small towns like Turriff and Huntly so unless you want to live in Aberdeen (where i work) and you are put by the council in a house in the country you have to commute. Fair enough Thomas thinks that the right to buy is wrong but ive taken advantage of it and i think i deserve it since ive been paying taxes since i was 18. Cheers
