Business still being crunched by banks 5:12pm on 23 Jul 2009 Alistair Darling, Peter Mandelson, Shriti Vadera and Paul Myners. What a pathetic line-up. Who can take these numpties seriously. They think they are in control. It's delusion, they have no control whatsoever.
So what non-existent money will be lent to whom, who can't afford to borrow anyway?

Oh, and by the way, this will have absolutely no effect on the house price reductions. This will not work like all the rest of this awful government's ideas.
I'm sure he thinks this will improve his political standing, when exactly the opposite is happening.

The country spends far more than the wealth it generates.

2 million extra government jobs not required. 1 in 5 work for the government. Too expensive and inefficient NHS.
A massive welfare state where most don't deserve its protection.
Why should we all suffer while the government just bull-dozers its way through our finances.

So that's the grand plan then, debt, more debt and even more debt.

Mr Brown, we are indebted to you, or is that we are in debt to you.

This is going to take decades for the poor old Tories to clear up.
Everyone Loves Kirsty and Phil 6:41pm on 17 Nov 2008 These two have done nothing to prove they are successful in property. In fact, quite the opposite. They have been partly responsible for ramping the market.
They are still optimistic when we are into the mother of all recessions. Now is the time to stay well clear of the property market.
Why do the media push these people forward. There is no evidence whatsoever to calling them 'experts'. I'm more of an expert, having sold my house as I new the bubble was bursting.
I would have thought they would keep their heads low at present and for the next few years, as the prices crumble, with no recovery signs for donkeys years.
A lot of people jumped-in having watched the likes of these two, and have been burnt.
And get Alsop to eat her hat. She said she would, now we want to see it.
Momentous Monday 8:50pm on 13 Oct 2008 This is now beyond a joke.
Todays share prices show that the market knows the idiot plan by Brown will not work.
Huge quantities of cash will be wasted, and the failing banks will still fail.
The Labour government must resign now and a coalition is the only way to sort the mess that Blair and Brown steered us in to.
A council of successful economists can be set up to advise the coalition.
We cannot leave this to an Historian and a Solicitor.
Treasury's mortgage rescue plan 11:39pm on 29 Jul 2008 The quantities of cash required would be astronomical, so it just won't happen, especially now Broon has run our economy into the buffers, and there is no cash to do it with anyway.
This is just another Labour gimmick, with no backbone, like all the rest of the Labour gimmicks that come to nought.

This isn't going to be more taxpayers money wasted, is it? Just let it go. It's broken the laws of economic physics.
