Piracy: Did someone blink? 11:55pm on 15 Jun 2009 There is no music that I can think of from universal that I would want to pay that amount a month for so thats a non starter for me. Plus Im rather inclined to jump ship right now even tho I dont actually download music. Its more a principle thing.
What's devolution done for you? 10:00am on 06 May 2009 That building is god-awful. The thing that really stings is that we paid for and then we have to pay AGAIN to go round it!

So far all I have seen from that building is either a mirror for the Westminster parliament, so no use there, or a place for Alex Salmond to stand and make us look like bitter sour lardies. If hes not eating hes using that immortal and cringe-worthy line " We sent them home tae think again".
The BBC licence free? 11:04am on 26 Nov 2008 I used to be a fervent anti Tv Tax person. That was until programs such as Dr Who returned. Now i would pay £10 per month just to have the BBC stay as it is. However there really should be a cap on these runaway salaries. Jonathan Ross anyone? I admit I'm not a fan of the man. Never have been and doubt I ever will be but people do seem to like him. Surely though the wage he gets is just exorbitant. Same for Wogan. Reel in the silly wages and Im sure people wouldn't mind half as much.
On a side note I dont agree with the way that the money Debited from your account. No one has been able to sufficiently explain why I paid 300% more per month in the initial months before it dropped. Why not just a flat monthly charge of for instance £10 starting from when you sudmit the form.
And the whole TV license fraud campaign thing. Really. Come on. We are not children so please don't try and threaten us. A simple notice of what the license is, what it costs, and what it funds. Simple. No brow beating.

Thats not unlimited. It may be very large but unlimited as i was led to believe by the dictionary is "not limited or restricted"
No defence for 'stealing' music 4:30pm on 04 Jul 2008 "A few people have questioned my use of the word stealing. Arguing that it is copyright infringement and not stealing. There may be a point here but to my mind this is semantics."

Crikey im glad that your not in-charge of anything important then. When the dictionary definition for a word doesn't fit do you also just ignore it and make your own definition up?
Watching you, watching YouTube 3:39pm on 04 Jul 2008 Personally there is nothing that I am worried about Viacom finding out about me. I am more than sure that any copyrighted material I may have viewed will make me just one of hundreds if not thousands.
The worrying thing is, as several have stated and several others seem to have ignored in favour of that very very tired and downright useless line "if you have done nothing wrong", that this is more about the beginning, setting precedent, than the actual action itself. The next time a company decides that they are loosing cash and want someone to pay how much easier will it be for them to do as Viacom have or even worse go one step further?
They may not and this might just be a blip but i think history has taught us that you should never just accept things like this at face value as they will more often than not come back to bite you. Ask Neville Chamberlain.
Grim decisions 4:06pm on 03 Jul 2008 I honestly believe it was the right thing to do. Yes it is harrowing but in the same light that Drink Driving adverts and speeding adverts make a point of being graphic to shock the viewer. With this in mind why should tame down what is happening in real life. Having these harrowing events portrayed in a more raw manner might make us take more notice. A brave decision by the BBC and one I think they should not be scared to stand behind.
