No point crying 9:35pm on 09 Jun 2009 All the best with looking for a new club Gavin. I'd tell you to come and play for one of the teams I support, but there are a few problems there.

1) As a supporter, I'm not actually in charge of the clubs, so you'd be on your own in getting a contract
2) both teams are in the north-east, which would be a bit of a trek.
3) The state Newcastle United are in at the moment, I doubt they'd be able to afford to pay your bus fare to the ground, let alone any wages
4) I suspect you're out of Gateshead FC's price range as while they are now in the conference, they are still only semi-pro.
Could we save billions by legalising drugs? 4:07pm on 07 Apr 2009 Well done for actually saying this. Whether or not I agree legalisation/control is the right way forward is another matter, but the debate ought to be had, and points of view like this - and like that of Professor David Nutt - shouldn't be shouted down simply because they don't fit into what is the most politically palatable option.

It's a hell of a coincidence if it is two different stories, and if it isn't, why tell me about it twice? Surely once is enough?

I'm sick of reading things like:

I mean, everyone else using twitter manages to get their point across in 140 characters - any chance you could improve your automation to make it up to the task (e.g. when adding a news item have a 120-char summary rather than just pulling out the first sentence).

The BBC is the only feed I subscribe to that allows its Tweets to tail off badly like this: come on, pull yer finger out!

any thoughts on when a manager refers to his players as 'Charles Insomnia'? How does that fit into your scheme of managers being critical?

I've got to admit I don't think it was a mistake by Kinnear; I think he was extracting the michael somewhat -- but equally it's a good job Charley didn't play for Robson for too long if he's that sensitive about it!
THE WAIT IS NEARLY OVER 10:42pm on 14 Jan 2009 Looking forward to it myself. Similar to MsMoll, after watching the pilot I contacted the Beeb to ask for the series, so I'm delighted to see it's (finally!) nearly here.

Will the pilot be running again prior to the series start, or is it being 're-done' as part of the series itself?
FA Cup brings happy memories 1:17pm on 03 Nov 2008 This might sound like an odd one, but I wanted to ask a question about the blogging/journalism bit rather than the footy: do you hunt out and select the stuff you want to link to, or does someone come along later and do that?

And if it's you - I'm guessing it is, to be honest - how hard is it to hunt down the 'perfect link' to illustrate your point?
