But speaking from a wider point of view- no one trusts politicians anyway, so people are more likely to take the scientific evidence on whether to take a drug or not rather than an out of touch government.

But to be honest i do think it is no right of the state's what i put in my body.

it seems to be a war- the government is scared of the papers so it will do as they say (newspapers which often print much more biased opinion rather than fact.) and the scientists who don't care what the papers think of them, tell the truth and give only facts

But on a completely unrelated note- please return to your old job as the economics correspondent, or if not at least continue writing your evanomics blog, whoever the new economics correspondent is- they don't seem to have there own blog and i doubt their analysis would be as good as yours, if your not an expert it's difficult to understand all about the financial crisis, your blog was brilliant and analysing and explaining whats happening.
Map of the week: Crowded Britain? 7:20pm on 08 Sep 2008 If migration continues as it is (which i doubt- considering as countries become more developed many will move back.) we could see a growth in many smaller towns- particularly in towns where there is room to expand.

We forget that our major cities where not always the large places they where.

Lets hope that if these new cities develop then we learn from our mistakes in the past and build effective infrastructure.
A new national anthem 10:09pm on 29 Jun 2008 Why not something more modern than Jerusalem or God save the Queen.

Why does an anthem have to involve an over the top trumpet piece? how about we use a decent UK song from the past 45 years.

Anarchy in the UK would be popular i think.

or we could just ask Paul McCartney to write a new anthem and if its any good we can all vote on it.
