Let's get this out in the open so that Glaswegians can fully understand what Labour are doing to the education of their children. The SNP government give Glasgow the money for education and Glasgow spent it on what?

Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't you repeatedly asked the SNP government to repair/rebuilt Wick Academy and haven't the SNP government agreed to that? Has your council done anything in this respect?

The Unionists go on about this being a distraction during the recession. Is Grey Murphy admiting we are still in a recession? When do they think we will come out of recession? When we come out of recession can we have our referendum then?

- Where are you registered to vote.
- Why have you not spoken in the House of Commons.
- Have you resigned from your job as a lecturer.
- When will you arrange the job conference you promised the electorate of GNE.

Brian, you're a journalist, I'm sure you can think of some other ackward questions for Bain.

A good analysis of the GNE result. Socialist Labour is the Arthur Scargill party. I wonder if they actually campaigned in the 2005 GE in GNE. In any event, there is no doubt in my mind that those 4000 voters thought they were voting for the Labour party.
Has that aspect of the GNE result been picked up anywhere in the mainstream media? I think I know the answer to that.
Do you know if the Electoral register for GNE is available?

The vote for the Libdems defies believe. An electorate of 11,999 and they can only find 79 to vote for them. That is 0.65%. I wonder what Tavish thinks of that.
All to play for? 2:19pm on 13 Nov 2009 A bad result for the SNP. I was shocked we could only manage 4,000 votes. But we will prevail in our quest for freedom and when we do, I would not be surprised if we don't have the support of Glasgow NE.
You have to think about the dynamics of the electorate in GNE. 2/3rds don't care about politics. Even more do not understand politics. Picture the images of voters being asked why they are voting Labour. They cannot answer beyond 'they are the working class party'!!?. It is up to us to educate these people. That is the mother of all mountains to climb but we must tackle how to do that. This is exactly what the Labour party do not want and we could go on for ever about that party's regard for the electorate. The media are complicit in this behaviour.

Great post! Once a nationalist always a nationalist. That is why we can get a 1000 plus out to fight by-elections. It means so much more to us.
