Fixture and frettings 09:38am on 18 Jun 2009 Not a bad blog Robbo, the question is, will you be focusing on the championship this season?

I know your bosses will probably be pushing you towards the apparent "creme de la creme" of football in the Premiership, but it would be nice to have a blogger who covers the Championship and all the teams.

Rarely does this league get much of a mention in comparison and considering it's the 4 biggest league in Europe, I think it's mightly impressive and shouldn't be so overlooked.

So keep up the work Robbo, but hopefully we can get abit more coverage on the championship, especially now BBC have the rights! You know it makes sense!

I'm sorry but what a pathetic excuse. How you could possibly compare the two is utterly beyond me.

A split second decision in which a player's arm touches a football cannot be condemned in the same way that someone who knowingly takes illegal substances to gain an advantage.

I find it utterly bizzarre that you even use that one example rather than any other ones throughout football.

I don't know if you are a Chelsea fan, but it sounds like you are and an extremely bitter one at that.

More to the point, I'm delighted Washington has finally been rewarded, unfortunately not in the way he fully deserves. Hopefully he can stay as strong as he has done all these years and continue to inspire others.

My alternative review of the season 10:06am on 15 May 2009 Ok, now some of the comments are just beind downright pathetic. I refer to #59 & #62. Totally uncalled for, maybe you should give your opinion on your answers for some of the questions Jacqui raised?

I enjoyed the blog, some of the answers about the toilets didn't interest me, but I'm not about to have a go at Jacqui for that.

My only pet peeve was with the Shaktar comment and even then I was just joking to a certain degree. I would love to freeze my nuts off in the Ukraine to see Palace play in the UEFA cup. I would love to go on any sort of European tour for football.

I did go and watch PSG at the Parc De Princes with a mate last year, was absolutely electric! Even though we weren't PSG fans we were welcomed into the culture there with open arms! As Brits they were extremely helpful and had the mentality of "if you came to watch PSG your with us, not against us". Which was a welcome change to some of the atmospheres for neutrals in this country. Alas, we did not end up in a Parisian Brothel, not through want of trying though I can assure you!

Also I found Leicester's parking to be one of the better places last year. Scunthorpe however, it was like trying to thread your car through the eye of a needle to get out!

Does anyone know who Jacqui supports by the way? Couldn't see anything on the blog about it.
My alternative review of the season 4:33pm on 14 May 2009 It boils down to the woe is me attitude EVERY fan has.

My team is harder done by than yours. We all say it and all believe it.

Does anyone feel sympathy for Chelsea after the Barcelona game? At the end of the day their fans got to travel to the Nou Camp to watch their team play in the biggest competition in football (bar the world cup), but still got screwed over at home.

My team Crystal Palace feel like we have been screwed over by referees all season, but I doubt many have much sympathy for us.

On top of that Southampton are in administration, maybe they are the most hard done by fans?

How about Luton? Bournemouth? Rotherham?

Every fan thinks they are the hardest done by and appear bitter towards any other football fan who feels their club is harder done by.

Its part and parcel.
My alternative review of the season 3:58pm on 14 May 2009 "It's easy to say that 'terraces are the true way to watch football' when you've only travelled in a car up the motorway to see a team and you're home in bed again on the same day."

How about having to contend with multiple roadworks on the M1 to travel for 7 hours up to Leeds, to watch your team put in a pathetic performance in the cup and lose 4-0, then spend the same amount of time travelling back home, getting in at 5 in the morning, waking up at 7:30 to do a full 9-5 working day, whilst putting up with constant mocking from your co-workers for losing to a team in League one, realising that the petrol money and price of the match ticket means you can't afford to leave your house for the next month.

I think a night in Shaktar would be pleasantly welcomed by an abundance of lower league team supporters who would most certainly care about their team appearing in Europe, because we aren't spoilt with the option of such great nights in huge competitions.

Tony Pulis for me. He's gone about his business with what I would call an extremely poor squad, even the players he bought in haven't exactly been fantastic (Kitson) although Beattie certainly helped! Seems like a top lad and deserves alot of credit I think.

Most under-rated player

Glen Johnson. Consistently plays well in a Portsmouth team that's struggled abit this season. Never hear about him causing any problems or having a go at the way the club is run. An excellent right back as well.

Football rewards defending as much as attacking, but as a sport teams need to do both, not one or the other. This is the sole reason United deserve to win the final more than either team in that semi final.

The bottom line is Drogba had the chance to wrap it up when Anelka unselfishly played a pin point pass to him and he ruined it.

If, as some chelsea fans have stated Drogba felt guilty for getting sent off in last years final then he should feel even more guilty about missing that chance.

A game of football finishes when the referee blows the final whistle, not when 90 minutes is up. Chelsea switched off and Barcelona punished them.

The team who gets the winning result is the team that deserves its place in the final. Chelsea had chances and squandered them.

Drogba is a disgrace. Ballack, Terry and Lampard reacted angrily, but walked away.

The most important point for me, is why did no one pull Drogba away? His team mates should have shown more intelligence and got him away from the ref.

Also John Terry's comments in defence of Drogba are pathetic. He should have kept his mouth shut.
