What do you want from the BBC in the future? 10:12am on 10 Sep 2009 What I would like as an Ex Pat. is a subscription service for all BBC content via the iplayer or downloads. I think it should be the license fee renewable yearly, because you don't know what good value for money the BBC is until it's gone. It's pennies per day.

I'd also think about a new way of charging for the license fee in the UK. Mostly because with new media it's not just on a TV that you receive BBC content. The Government should replace VAT on all media players (TV's radios, ipod computers etc) with a tax at the VAT rate to pay for the BBC. To be adjusted in future as needed.

As for Murdoch, the BBC a free unbiased/balanced news service scuppers his father's plan to charge for News content online. For while the BBC exists nobody in their right mind will pay for a biased news service, Fox News anyone?

For the love of God (BBC content really, as there is no God) make a subscription available for the iPlayer. Develop an iPhone App with a yearly subscribtion. "The annual cost of a colour TV licence (set by the Government) is currently £142.50. That works out at less than £12 per month - about 39p per day" (your words). Everyone in the UK whines about the fee. But as an overseas foreigner type. I would GLADLY, GLADLY pay this fee for access to BBC content online or via a iPhone App. I'm missing out on Wimbledon right now and trust me Thai commentary doesn't cut the mustard.

So I thought I know about proxy servers so I found a UK proxy and pressed play.

Only to find it is in fact the same content as the podcast (which is available to download globally), but with pictures.

I can only imagine the right to watching Simon and Mark are limited to the UK only because the clip of the movie played isn't even a clip, but stills from a previous trailer. Hmmm.

Otherwise, well done on the award.
