My internet usage is now bieng monitored at work - hence, I've been absent recently. Boo.

How is everyone?

Your weekend sounds nice, Chris. Ours was quiet - last weekend in January = skint skint skint.

Had a go at that Rock Band thing though, and blimmin' loved it.

Looking forward to next weekend - Mr P and I are going to see Othello in Warwick.

What else have I missed? No baby yet, I take it?

Fume son pipe, mais ou'est ? 12:12pm on 16 Jan 2009 Yay!! It's Friday!! My colleague's off for the next 2 weeks, which means I'll actually have work to do - novelty!

I loved Just Seventeen back when I was too young for it. I used to smuggle it home and read it secretly in my bedroom. I think teen magazines are great; very informative and educational without being preachy or dull. I'd definitely let my kids read them; they taught me a lot.

CtD - c'mon, spill - where you going on your jollies?

Chrissie - congrats! What a lovely weekend you'll have and may I ask, what's your secret?

Still deliberating over Mr P's birthday city break choice: am now thinking Budapest.

Any plans for t'weekend? We're watching LCFC on TV tomorrow (SUCH a novelty) and then Spurs on TV on Sunday - all in the pub, natch x

Hello everyone,

Lovin' the subject of names and can't wait to find out what Baby DJ will be monikered.

My real name is Rosie but I still get people asking me if it's short for Roseanna, Rosemary, Rosamond etc.

I register babies at work and I'm always disappointed if I register one with a 'traditional' name.

My faves are a bit unusual but I doubt that I'll ever have the chance to call my kids them (if, indeed, I ever have any) because Mr P and I can't even decide on names for pets...

Oh well.

I think it's best to leave your friend to make her own mistakes but be there for her if / when things go down the pooper.

I find that if I'm told to do one thing, I will do the opposite; we all have our inner rebels to contend with after all.

Bill Bryson - never read any of his but I have Stuart Maconie's books and have been told they're similar so might swich past them at my next visit to the bibliotheque.

Clodagh - lovin' the Renee / Custard story. My Gran (85) once put the Yorkshire pudding mix on top of the trifle thinking it was custard. Bless.

In the midst of it all... 11:35am on 07 Jan 2009 Hello everyone,

Mmm-mmm, dippy eggs with Marmite soldiers - my fave. Mr P does crackin' (sorry) eggs; I can only do hard-boiled.

Funny story: Mr P went for light therapy for his psoriasis this morning (basically, a couple 'a seconds on a sunbed) and the consultant has advised him to purchase a thong / jock strap for future visits.

Do Agent Provacateur do a male range?

Or do Debenhams stock the sequinned variety 'for him'?

Answers on a postcard please.

Happy Everything everyone and here comes the... 12:45pm on 06 Jan 2009 derbyfi - not sure about the Spurs bridesmaid dress. My sister used to say that she would put me in a neck-to-floor, shapeless, grey smock. She was joking (I hope).

Happy Everything everyone and here comes the... 09:33am on 06 Jan 2009 Hurrah!! The return of Drivetime and a gilmpse of 'the' Boot - how exciting!! Bucket of cold water for Gingembre puh-lease!

Happy Divine and Sublime 2009 everyone! Sorry I wasn't around over Christmas; had a lovely one with lots of celebrating due to the fact that my sister got engaged on Christmas Day (FINALLY, I get to be a bridesmaid) and Mr P's brother and his missus announced that they were expecting another baby!! Yay!

In my opinion though, my new Kurt Geiger boots were well worth the celebrations too.
