The rights to highlight 10:13pm on 07 Aug 2009 I like many are still critical of the choice of Newcastle being on TV twice...also Lewis Wiltshire, you you tell us which smart person decided just to get 10 games a season on...this isnt the Premier League, its the Championship, 4 more teams!

However, the BBC have made this all by having 2 Leicester City fans on their Coverage with Gary Lineker and Manish Bhasin.
I will be watching.
Also who will be commentating? Is John Motson doing it as Motty sounded he likes the Football League on the Podcast from the Football League so is it Motty?

Plus where's DC and EJ? Im sure they should tag along with yourself.
Plus I am quite annoyed with some people critise EJ's 'bang on the chin' comment, what do you expect them to say, the BBC would have been ripped apart by viewers who would have wanted to know what happened.
Eddie may have said it because its common to see a car smashed into the barriers, it was only when we all saw what hit Massa was when he knew it was more worser then EJ knew it so I think people should lay off EJ, blame FOM/FOA for withholding the replays.
Big decisions need to be made 10:54pm on 03 Aug 2009 There are many things we would like to debate...why newcastle get on twice on TV in the new Football Leeague deal when Roger said, no team would appear twice...who made that decision?
I think Roger that you should have taken both roles on, could have worked!
Someone says it correct, you spoke before any deals were made!
Big decisions need to be made 10:48pm on 30 Jul 2009 Roger, I can understand a bit of where you come from but why do the BBC want to keep events that are on ITV?
I mean for instance, the Rugby World Cup, was on ITV, will the BBC bid for the 2011 or 2015 World Cup?
I can understand for F1, it has to stay on the BBC, but why does the BBC want to keep Cricket when the BBC in 1999 had a chance to keep it and lost to Channel 4 who dragged the coverage to a new high...same with the F1 going to ITV, vastly improved only to be made great but wrecked by a certain J.Legard....
Also some of Sky Sports coverage has been superb, Premier League Football, Cricket, Rugby Union...
But going on the Olympics,I would like to see future Olympics stay on the BBC as you have a variety of presenters who know the sport they are covering however sports shown in the Olympics dont get covered vastly by the BBC but they do on Eurosport, maybe your idea of axing Grandstand was a bit too drastic and I think that the new Director of Sport should revert this awful decision made by not listening to the public and only thinking that Grandstand is an old format when its still a live and kickimg format...c'mon reinstate Grandstand.
Hamilton revels in sweetest of victories 11:59pm on 26 Jul 2009 Well, start off...well done Mr Benson for a well thought out blog, its nice to see Lewis win a race after so much the Mclaren team has done in development, working hours on the car, Lewis could have won in Germany if he hadnt had the puncture from Webber but he took this on the chin, went back to Mclaren and went on getting the new add-ons ready for the race and he won it...well done to the Mclaren team.
However some small idiots have wrecked this blog by ill concieved comments.
When a Brit wins races, we get some sill comments like...oh its boring, I dont want him to win....oh no, he is arrogant...why do some idiots dont want a brit to do well?
When Schumacher was dominating, no-one moaned, why now?
Still well done Lewis, shame that Renault didnt fasten Alonso's tyre, it would have been an epic race between those two.
And also get well soon Felipe, all us F1 fans wish you a speedy recovery and back in the Ferrari when its right for you to return.
Pick your classic Hungarian Grand Prix 9:49pm on 16 Jul 2009 Benson - the 2006 Race was classic for the famous James Allen moment...JENSON BUTTON WINNNNNNNS..........better then your current bloke.
Also 2006 saw Anthony Davidson used...surely you can have the ITV Commentary on as he is being used by Radio 5 Live.
I dont like the 5 Live commentary being used on the races covered by ITV, its dirorentated from the TV pictures.
Injuries take their toll on England's lionheart 10:34pm on 15 Jul 2009 Flintoff was right to announce it now, why keep it silent and get slated for holding it back.
Plus it will give England actually something to work towards and winning the series for Fred.
Plus he has been a top all-rounder but unfortuantely his career marred by the two incidents : the infamous 2006/07 Ashes Series when as Captain, he saw England thumped 5-0 and the Pedalo incident in the 2007 World Cup.
Apart from that, he will wholly be remembered for you know what...which should be called Freddie's Ashes and they will always be.

I liked the arguments between the Inside Sports editor and my comments to himself and no reply :).
Plus we havent heard from the new Sports Director Babera Slater...surely she needs to be active in this blog with many rights under threat from the main broadcasters.
Bruising day of punch and counter-punch 10:20pm on 08 Jul 2009 I was furious at Cook.
Again he showed he is not an International player playing ridculous shots.
Cook should be dropped and replaced with someone else.
Maybe push Bopara up or even Ian Bell.
History in the making 10:41pm on 07 Jul 2009 Mihir Raises a good point here.
The 205 Ashes ranks alongside 1981 for the one of the best Ashes in History.
However we have to hope the hype of 2009 matches the hype and excitement of 05 and 81.
I also agree with they hype surronding Wimbledon that Mihir says, we dont seem to get very hyped up for it until it happens but with Cricket, you sense that hype long before the series starts.
Plus we have a chance if we lose 1 match.
England to do it again and win 2-1.
