I live just outside Lemgo in Germany and Handball is very big here.I´ve never played it but it´s a mixture between indoor rugby and basketball. It´s a great spectator sport as I witnessed during the last world championships which germany won in great style. Christian schwarzer would make an excellent trainer for the national team in Britain and if he´s serious the british team should take him up on it.
Can Birmingham, Reading and Derby bounce back? 3:27pm on 07 Aug 2008 Reading have something special going for them at the club.but it depends if they can get and keep the momentum going.Having seen Matejovsky at the euros 2008, before he got injured, I think he´ll be very influentual.
I think the Derby fans were wonderful last season,but, they´re going to suffer I think this year.
Birmingham are in trouble internally and if they don´t perform well early will struggle with mr Mcleish.

Also, what about fifa and the World cup?
Barry saga leaving a sour taste 09:05am on 05 Jul 2008 Do you really think that Barry has pushed out hardgreaves in the England squad? I feel Hardgreaves is a far better player and i´ve watched him since his young days at Bayern.
Also, with all this going on at Liverpool over the last few seasons. With such huge egos at play.It seems something is going to crack.

Well said LastgoalinWembley.You put all us English bigots to shame. But, and I think you know it yourself, Germany are going to struggle to qualify for South Africa. They´ll get there, but it´ll be tough.
Basel serves up a thriller 09:46am on 26 Jun 2008 Congratulation to Germany for reaching the final.Also, congratulations to turkey for making it such a memorable semi final. It was not to be and Germany had that extra self belief that gets them through these games even though for me they are an average team. How do they do it I don´t know. Team spirit with a bit of skill please next time. Yes they will have trouble against Russia or Spain but don´t be surprised if they do it again and all of the football fans will be shaking their heads in disbelief at watching such a mediocre team get through and win again.
It´s not "neid". I´m just weary of it.
Once again congratulations Germany.

P.S. My wifes German and she´s gone through at least 5 sets of fingernails watching germany hobble through. so if your going to win for my sake make it 5-0 so I can enjoy it to.
Let football be the winner 12:13pm on 25 Jun 2008 I live in Germay as well and I think that most turks hope but do not expect to win tonight. Trouble may occur in the inner cities but I think it won´t be as bad as some people seem to want.
Germany the big winners in last act drama 9:21pm on 24 Jun 2008 i´m an Englishman living in Germany and i´ve always been treated with respect and if asked most germans would say that they wished England was at the Euro 2008.
I´m sorry to say this but Germany is a non footballing nation and They should stick to Handball which suits the German character better than football. They play Handball with more passion and heart. Both of which are missing from how they play football.For that reason I hope Turkey win.
We know why England aren´t there they weren´t good enough.
