Reading the Kindle 12:13pm on 19 Oct 2009 Ebooks are very handy but I think the key issue is eye-strain. With a printed book you know what you are looking at. It is a piece of paper not a screen set to a certain brightness that is illuminated in a certain way.

I don't know about anyone else but I like reading books as a safe and pleasant alternative to 'screen-time'. It is certainly much more relaxing than using a mobile device that also knows everything about you and can stress you with work emails and the like at any moment. There is something reassuring about switching the technology off to disappear and read.

Disneyland will have no problem finding another company to manufacture their tills.

Personally I think Spotify i excellent. as long as there is always a spotify (or similar) I see no reason at all to 'physically' own the music at all. I can't be bothered to copy/back-up/load...files when I need them. I just want to type an artist and get on with whatever.

I was however disappointed that the Spotify application on the Google-phone was actually a subscription service like the Iphone. I can understand apple getting nervy over their beloved Itunes being under threat by Spotify...but they could have used the PC version for the google phone (or any other phone for that matter) with no problem to stream the music.

Lets face it, if they don't...I am sure that I and other users will be streaming services like we7 from our phones browsers and Spotify will have to think again.

It seems right to predict that we are entering the second phase of digital music now in light of the endless array of mobile devices and the increasing coverage of mobile Internet networks.
Apple: All sizzle and no steak 1:26pm on 10 Sep 2009 Bringing out a tablet computer in 2010 is a prehistoric move in computing terms. Tablet computers have been readily available for years.
It's about as innovative as sticking a pedometer on an ipod! :D
The watchphone: Gadget or gimmick? 12:07pm on 20 Aug 2009 Yes...no more scrambling around for your phone as it rings, but then again no more excuses for not answering it! :D

I like the idea, I reckon my arm would get pretty tired after a half-hour phone call. I would certainly want one though it's very space-age! :)

Listening to Mr iPhone 1:42pm on 02 Jul 2009 OK. We have had a ridiculous amount of items on the iPhone. Can the BBC start marketing some other phones now please?
Can HTC's Hero be a smartphone winner? 10:39am on 26 Jun 2009 Everything evolves around the iphone with you lot! There are loads of really amazing phones with new and better features, compatibility and hardware that never even get a single mention here. But no, with the BBC it has to be the iPhone on a pedestal everytime with only the allowance of one contender to challenge their beloved iPhones.

Free marketing anyone?
Apple must be laughing their way to the bank with BBC!

I have lost track of how many iPhone stories there have been...most other makes of phone barely seem to get a mention here.
