Manchester City making waves 1:41pm on 24 Aug 2009 Before the kick off I thought Hughes has 5 to 10 games to save his job. Now he's got 2 wins of out 2 so I think he has extended his probation period until christmas, but I still expect him to leave before January. Who have they beaten? Blackburn (a team struggling) and Wolves (a team we probably won't see in PL next season). So, what's the big deal?

On the other hand I think Hughes did a great job.......to unsettle Everton. The toffees were favourite to finished in top6 but now without a single point Hughes could be laughing as one of the major rivals had screwed up. He has already unsettle Villa by pinchng Barry.
Hiddink's sweet smell of success 11:51am on 09 Apr 2009 Hats off to Chelsea we were beaten, fair and square. Looks like we may have to concentrate on the league and hope ManU overcome Porto next week. However if we can beat ManU 4-1 at their ground we can believe ourselves that we can (although not likely) produce the same shocking result at Stamford Bridge.

By the way I hoope Rafal has learnt something here - shut up and just concentrate on your own preparation.

Remember the last time when he had a stick about ManU when we were top? We suffered from a string of poor results while ManU pull together a few wins and back on top. Since then they lost a couple of matches and we were catching up fast but Rafal decided to have another ditch claiming ManU are scared.......

Looks like everytime when Rafal opens his mouth the team suffers. So please Rafal, do your talking by winning games. I don't think ManU are scared of us, since they are still leading with game in hand and are favourite to retain the title.
Man Utd look unstoppable 1:39pm on 05 Mar 2009 The title race is over. It was actually over a few weeks ago. It is not about Utd losing X number of games, it is all about whether Chelski and Liverpool can win all their remaining games. The answer is :- NO. Chelski would have a better chance as they are quite good at "grinding" out 1-0 wins, but it is certainly over for Liverpool - they are just not mentally strong enough.

I thing SAF would like to wrap it up by April so his team can concentrate on CL.

Are you really sure abou this? Final without a top4 team means something is missing - and that something is callled QUALITY. Remember last year final between Portsmouth & Cardiff? It was a dull 90+ minutes without any spark whatsoever.

I love football and I go yo matches. I watch MOTD every week. If I am to go out I will set the recorder and watch it when i got home, even at 3am in the morning.

But I didn't watch the Cup final last year as I was busy doing my garden....
Battle at the bottom 11:32am on 20 Oct 2008 I think the problem with Spurs is that the players don't know what Ramos is on about. Not even sure if Ramos himself knows what he is on about either.

I am not a Spurs fan so I won't give a monkey if they go down. But it is clear that something needs to change, and quick. I am not usually the one who jumped into the "Sack the Manager" bandwagon, but we can all see that Ramos' record at Spurs were terrible. How many games has he won with Spurs? Yes, they beat Chelsea in the Mickey Mouse cup and drew with the Blues again in the league, but then what? Losing to Hull at home and Stoke and whatever, mind you they have yet to play the other Big4.

Something must change. If that means Ramos flying back to Spain with a massive pay check then so be it. And I can see that happening in 2 weeks time.
Is Michael on his cycle? 10:21am on 07 Oct 2008 One more thing - Stuart Downing? Give me a break!! Although Joe Cole is injuried and not available, we still have Young and SWP!! Downing?? I'd rather play Ashley Cole in that role.

Ramos facing Titanic struggle 1:29pm on 06 Oct 2008 Who is responsible? The person or persons who decided to sell Defoe and Keane should be responsible!!!

The person who thought Bent is a better striker than Defoe is plain stupid. OK Defoe was behind the packing order of Bebartov and Keane but Bent? Give me a break.

In Bebartov you have a very good striker, good techniques and knows where the goal is. But he is only a goal scorer; he needs people to create chances for him. However in Keane, not only he scores goals he creates too! How many times we see him coming back to the half way line to retrieve the ball before sending it to Bebartov?! Also he is Spurs vice captain so surely, he is the kind of leader they are lacking at the moment.
The art of Moyes 1:56pm on 03 Oct 2008 I used to respect Moyes a lot, especially for what he did to a club with limited resources. But after his interview last night, I have lost my repect completely.

He blamed the referee for not sending off the Liege captain which had an effect of the overcome. To me he is trying to cover up his own mistake (losing the game by selecting wrong players, or not motivating the players). Football is about 11 playing 11. The fact is that Everton lost to Liege.
Walcott and Capello stun Croatia 10:48am on 11 Sep 2008 Just wonder would Capello stick with Lamps and Barry for the next qualifier even Stevie G is fit??

Don't get me wrong I am a Liverpool fan and I always think our captain is a better player than Lampard. The problem is that he and Lampard don't seem to be able to fit together in the team and evidence suggest that Lampard and Barry is a better partnership.

I don't want to say this but I think Capello might (and perhaps rightly so) stick with Lampard with Barry for the next game and see how things go. So it looks like Barry has now become our first choice midfield ahead of both Stevie G and Lampard.
