'A bonfire of the quangos'...? 12:30pm on 06 Jul 2009 There is certainly scope to reduce the number of non-departmental public bodies, however there will also be a cost attached. Perhaps Cameron could state how many people he expects to be made redundant as a result of his recycled policy? Surely Dave, given the tories current obsessiveness with truth and the release of information, should be able to quantify how many people he expects to "sack"?
Policy in the age of FOI 4:43pm on 18 Jun 2009 I love the perception that the public does not need to know about the rejected options as expressed by an unenlightened individual. As an Information Officer in the public sector, I have been bullishly teeling colleagues that the public are more interested in how the reach a decision rather than in the decision itself ie full transparancy including options.

Has anyone given any thought as to who benefits from the eventual sale of the second/third home? Who gets to keep any of the windfall capital when a property is sold? Arfe any profits surrendered back into the system? Of course not, so the tax-payer firstly pays for their second homes and then generously donates the profits back to the politicians.
