Tevez 5 goals 3 assists 1858 minutes played
Owen 8 goals 0 assists 1898 minutes played

Considering it would have cost us 30 million plus his wages for Tevez , is it Owen that bad a punt , I think fergie has pulled a nice risk free transfer off here.

Still We need a Creative midfirlder now, I for one would love to get Snieder (15-20 mil).

Then we have a 40 - 50 million profit in transfers this year, which could help to pay off some of the debt
Benitez deserves Euro respect 09:49am on 11 Mar 2009 I have to take my hat off to Liverpool as I thought they were sensational last night, and as a United supporter I would would agree that there not the team that I would want to meet if we get through to the quarter finals. But I dont think Liverpool will be able to play like that against the other 3 english teams , simply because Anfield does not hold the fear as it does to other european teams, because the other english teams are now used to it and have played there so often before.

I think Liverpool will be keeping there fingers crossed and hoping to miss the english teams because the other european teams do fear anfield.

On the issue of Benitez getting Respect, he has to earn it, and if he wins the european cup he will get it, but semi finals and finals dont mean anything in less you win it. 3 years without a trophy if he fails to land the big one. Its nice to be consistent and being ranked number 1 in europe is nice, but Tim Henman was consistent in tennis but never one the big one.

I think Rafa really needs to deliver this trophy as he has put the pressure on him self demanding respect.
Your choice has never been so difficult 1:37pm on 11 Nov 2008 I really hope its either Addlington or Hoy this year as both dominated there sports and did something that no other British Olymipians have done in the past.

But I get the feeling it will go to Hamilton, even though I am a fan of F1 i cant say he should be even close to winning the award.
Fair play to him he won the title.
But in a sport where only 2 teams each year can produce the world champion it means he was really only competing against 3 other drivers, and one was his team mate who was very poor. So fair play to the lad, but until f1 becomes less about money and technology, and there is more competetion on the grid i don't think it should be him.

Murray has had a great year too, but he wont win it till he lifts a major.

US up for the Cup but first it's time to talk 12:29pm on 16 Sep 2008 However much I would like to see us give the americans another big beating I think for the good of the event we need a really close contest which goes to the final couple of groups on the last day.

Hopefully if that does occur we will still win, but I fear another massive beating for the americans will lead to a lot of there stars starting to think about boycotting the event next time.

I may be wrong but look at tennis and the davis cup , many top players miss the eto concentrate on themselves, hopefully as the ryder cup is so massive this wont happen.
