Adebayor deserves all he gets 1:32pm on 14 Sep 2009 Firstly, although Arsenal fans acted poorly, the players on the pitch are meant to be role models and set the example... every action has a reaction and that is exactly what Ade's celebration caused. he was the catalist and deserves everything he gets. As for the Arsenal fans i reckon they will take a look at it and pick out a few of the missile throwers, however unlike with other crowd problems there wasn't a single group or person in the crowd that started the trouble, that pleb was on the pitch. Hopefully the guys that threw items will be punished as will Ade.

Good result for City though reckon they've got a good shot at the top four depending on injuries etc. Talk of Chelski being the side to beat, but we will have to wait until the african cup of nations start to see how their title chances are.

number 6 crawled out of the worng side of bed too. Phil brown looks like he rolls around on clay every morning b efore he wakes up. get over it.

i reckon spurs might break into the top four this season. they hve been close before and depending on what signings arsen makes it could be closer still. they played well towards the back of 09 and look like they may be getting a few decent dutchmen in. would like to see Robben back. that lad has looked quality in spain when i've had the chance to watch.
Utd to finish 3rd. Chelski (sadly) to win and pool to come second.
Buoyant Bowe lifts Lions 12:55pm on 15 Jun 2009 The problem is the breakdown which is why you have to start with Wallace. Williams is a good and tenacious player but i dont think he has the bulk to play against the Safa's. possibly wallace blind but i dontthink you can exclude him.
I'm a big fan of ROG but i think Jones has had a better tour and when phillips and Roberts are shoe ins for 9 and 12 you have to play with a 10 who knows both their games. could be key.
Still a shame Ferris went as i reckon it could have been an all ireland backrow.
Unless some-one does something special i think Moyne has got to start. hasnt been overly impressive but can finish most things and has great gas. Will have to work harder against the Boks though.
Croft on the bench to come on for any second rows/ back rows. so athletic and has a lot of speed for a forward.
Also Although Jenkins is a bit weak in the scrum he tackles like a beast. start him and if he is suffering at set pieces take him off

The Italian win was poor... congrats for winning it but there is no need to pretend it was a great campain in which you anywhere near thrilled in each game.
We had the same issue with English football and criticsed ourselves. i think that give us the right to say the same about you.

Robbo - always a good blog. like the branching out too... you should have a little watch of the British and Irish lions though.

Benitez deserves Euro respect 1:21pm on 11 Mar 2009 United fans crack me up. Why would you want to face liverpool in the Champs league? they are always quality and always play good football. For me utd and liverpool would be the only two teams that no-one wants in the enxt group stage.
Liverpool are good in the league, but they are quality in Europe. there is a reason why real madrid are int eh champinos league last 16. Beacause they are a good side, and although they didnt perform yesturday i would say that was liverpools quality which stopped them. the first goal was a goal, footballers let alone defenders shouldnt dive under basically no pressure. def not a handball but he shoudlnt have swung his arm.

Does anyone ahve any idea why Eboue is played right mid as well...? when he first came around he looked like a world class right back. now he is a very average midfielder.

Dozing and Diving 1:46pm on 25 Feb 2009 Carricks dive in Champs league alst night was aweful. he seems to have been taking quit a few tumples recently. Didnt even get touched last night.

Why cant we have people checking the game afterwards who are able to award yellow cards in retrospect. Rugby does it 'citing' for punches etc... why not football for diving?
Ryan in wait 1:47pm on 20 Feb 2009 Whenever any united fan talks about football, even when its about Giggs (who is a ledgend) they cant help but bang on about Ronaldo... he is an arrogant show pony and WHEN he leaves you will wish that perhaps you had mroe players like Giggs who show loyalty and seem to have moral values rather than a walking step over like Ronaldo.

how can he deserve the player of the year award when he has only started 9 games for united this whole season. fantastic super sub but not player of the year you tool...

in conclusion:
Giggs is a ledgend of the premier league era.
Ronaldo is an arrogant fashion disaster
and Vidic should be player of the year
Let's celebrate Moore and Beckham 1:54pm on 12 Feb 2009 Beckham is awesum! created Enlgand best two chances inte h second half and had we been playing bettter finishers than SWP & Cole then he could have levelled the game.

You ahve to admire some-one who has played for arguably the Best 3 teams in the best 3 leagues in the world.

The fact that he is 33, wanted by AC Milan, performing week in week out is an achievement in its own for a player int eh professional day and age.

Well done Becks, hope it can continue until the next World cup.
