Review of the week 10:12am on 31 Oct 2009 Is this the BBC or the Sun? This article seems to be a collection of weak observations backed up by terrible puns. Really poor stuff.
Someone stitched his wife's initials into the backseat of his car? DID HE REALLY? Put that straight in the article, especially since, hehe, the initials are VD!!! Oh, the irony! And altering players names to sound a bit like words associated with sneezing. Genius. It's like reading Oscar Wilde.

2. Chelsea were VERY lucky to finish the first leg of last years semi with 11 men, and without conceding a penalty. They were unlucky in the second leg, but barca had a man sent off incorrectly, and still had the majority of possession. Over the two legs, the decisions were pretty even. Everyone seems to conveniently forget the first leg. Or rather, they are too stupid and brainwashed by the media to form an objective opinion. Chelsea were completely embarrassed in the first leg. They were holding on with 11 men as it was, with 10 or 9 they might've been murdered. Chelsea had two good penalty shouts, barca had a man sent off for no reason, a good penalty shout and chelsea could've had two men off.

Adebayor was being a petulent idiot when he decided to celebrate in front of the arsenal fans, regardless of his motives.
But the fans......watching how they reacted sent shivers down my spine. Absolutely disgusting. Completely unjustified aggression. I pity them. They must have a) very limited intellects and b) nothing of real value in their lives to get so pent up and aggressive over such a matter. What is almost as bad is that there are a lot of people who, even in the cold light of day, think that the way the fans acted is understandable. ARE YOU MENTAL? The fact that Adebayor acted like a fool is no justification. Being 'enticed' is not a justification for acting like a violent, brain dead moron. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in need of serious help.
Bilic barbs inspire Capello 07:14am on 09 Sep 2009 Some very selective criteria being put forward by posters here. Spain peaked too early? Winning the Euro championships is a big accomplishment. They aren't unbeatable, but they still look a lot more impressive than England, with an embarrassment of riches in most positions. They also beat England fairly comfortably not so long ago.
Brazil have also look at least as impressive as England.
If England had beaten Argentina 3-1 in their own backyard, most fans would already be ordering their 2010 world cup winners　memorabilia.
England are a quality side, but there are a few other sides just as good, and a few better. At least people aren't spouting the 'best squad in the world' nonsense like they usually do. Or best squad since '66. Best manager since '66 I'd agree with, although the fact it took so many England fans so long to recognise a brilliant manager (most of whom were completely ignorant of his exceptional management record) is pretty embarassing. There are still the odd moans from people saying he picks Beckham because of the media etc. (despite not picking him a few times when he wasn't playing regularly). But it's a far cry from the idiots declaring he was the same as McClaren after a whole 2 games!!!

Any resentment you feel is fascicle. The notion that international friendlies are 'pointless' is also ridiculous. International teams do not train together week in week out, so playing friendly games is absolutely vital. I hear this selfish, ignorant nonsense a lot nowadays; people angry that players that happen to currently play for the club that they like to watch are injured when playing for the country that they represent.

Valencia is not Ronaldo-lite 00:38am on 03 Jul 2009 People saying that Beckham didn't score a lot are missing an important point. Beckham has the highest assist to game ratio in the EPL, ever. (Giggs has more assists, but over the same amount of games, Beckham beats him easily (with a slightly higher goal rate too)). Check the list. The only person close is Henry (who, of course, is one of the highest goals scorers too.)

Valencia is nowhere NEAR the assist machine Beckham is, nor the goal machine CR is. A decent sqaud player, is all he is likely to be.

People really show their ignorance by saying that van the man didnt do well in spain. He won the league twice, which isn't bad at all. 63 goals in 93 games?? Yeah, he really flopped.

Completely biased denial from utd fans, refusing to accept that they sold a quality player who was still playing well. When ronaldo does well at real, im sure people will just put the blinkers on, and rave about some utd player without any justification, i.e. giggs playing well in a match against league 1 opposition=best midfielder in the world, utd winning champions league once= best squad in the world ever/dominating europe, and more nonsense.
Real not in real world 06:07am on 11 Jun 2009 His international goal rate is pretty good; 21 in 56 games. His goal rate at Inter is fantastic, 57 goals in 88 games. The fact that so many of them are individual efforts is what wins him so many fans.
England play part in Kazakh history 00:45am on 05 Jun 2009 @54, more like 'Look at those stupid Americans, believing that he is one of us'. Or, if they have seen the tv show, l'ook at those stupid British people, believing that he is one of us'. The ignorance displayed by the people meeting borat was disgusting, disturbing, and funny at the same time. How anyone could have believed that he was a Kazakhstanian reporter is, well, actually not that shocking given the stupidity of most people.
