Irresponsible or prudent? 09:18am on 16 Nov 2008 I have it on good authority that several Labour Party activists are watching this thread very closely.

Some have even posted but they are less than conspicuous so you can spot them a mile away.

I wonder why they are so interested?

No batsmen in the world would have wanted to be facing him in that mood.

I think he is going to drag this team kicking and screaming into a decent position.

The batsmen need to fire though.

Well done Fred only the 2nd Englishmen (by my calculations) to reach 200 wickets and over 2000 runs.

Collingwood should have been nowhere near the test side.

The skipper got an unlucky one again but I think his time may well be up. Everyman has a breaking point and this England team added to his own form must be driving him mad.

Robert Key, Bopara and Shah must all be wondering what they have to do to be selected.

Personally Speaking I believe England have a ready made skipper in waiting with Rob Key.
Five batsmen not enough for England 08:34am on 22 Jul 2008 From reading the comments on here one can deduce.

a) Monty is no good in spite of taking 108 test match wickets in 31 tests.

b)Vaughan is a terrible player and even worse captain, in spite of winning more test matches than any other England captain before him, and scoring 18 test match centuries.
South Africa hold whip hand 11:14am on 20 Jul 2008 In response to those people who say Vaughan shouldn't have enforced the follow on at Lords.

We couldn't bowl SA out in over two days, so not enforcing the follow on would leave us less time to not bowl them out.

The selectors forced Pattison on him and MV even admitted that he knew nothing about this guy.

The selectors have managed to weaken both the batting and bowling with two inept decisions.

The skipper has had a good day in the field and was very proactive as usual.

Those that want Vaughan to be dropped should take a look at how he captains the side compared to the hapless Smith of South Africa

Why anyone would say that is beyond me but so is supporting the mackems.
