Rough business 09:17am on 06 Jun 2008 To freedjmac: yes I know we can watch FMQs (and the rest of the parliament's business) on the parliament website, but I still think its important to get the BBC broadcast right. Many people dont use the web as much as people like us do - the older generation for example. My parents are both 70; they dont have a PC and never will have, despite my best efforts to persuade them! lol. So I still think we have to get the BBC broadcast right.
Rough business 4:22pm on 05 Jun 2008 I strongly agree with #3. Every week I tune into FMQs and, because it starts at exactly 12noon and your programme is sometimes a few moments late, we miss the first question. We then routinely miss the last 5 minutes of question time so we can cut to your interview with a journalist reviewing the main leaders questions. Even your review is usually too rushed - and as you always start with Wendy's question, then Annabel's, you frequently have to deal with Nicol Stephen's questions in a few rushed seconds - despite the fact that his question has often been the best! Can I suggest that you negotiate with your bosses to extend the broadcast, starting it at 5 to 12 so you can introduce it properly? And then, in your interview at the end, maybe you could alter the order in which you deal with the leaders' questions, so as to give equal time to all of them.
