Good reasons to stay up late 6:01pm on 28 Jan 2009 meh, its ok news but highlights would have been on terrestrial anyway its just the Beeb who have it. Whether it's on BBC or ITV or even Channel 4 ain't that important really.

Who will win Sports Personality of the Year? 5:10pm on 28 Aug 2008 British Cycling no contest? sorry? does a League and European Cup double mean nothing to you people?

Cavendish for at least a spot on the podium. The greatest performance of any British cyclist ever at a single tour de france ever, that surely can't go unnoticed. You ought to dedicate at least 5 minutes of your show to this piece of history.

Also, how can you do justice to such a packed year of sport in just 2 hours? Too much has happened to condense everything into 120 minutes. 3 hours would be ideal, but lo! we can't miss the gazilionth edition of Last of the Summer Wine.
Next stop London 11:42pm on 25 Aug 2008 This is not a complaint, but I was just curious as to why when you were broadcasting from inside the Bird's Nest, you seemed to only have one camera and so had to move it whenever Michael Johnson or Colin Jackson were talking. However at the closing ceremony, there were seemless transitions from directly to Sue Barker, to Michael Johnson without the need to physically move it to each person. Personally I prefered it when you used only camera because it was refreshing to see television not being done in such of a slick, polished fashion that we are used to. It's a fairly borish question, but it would be interesting to know all the same.
Biden a necessary antidote 9:01pm on 23 Aug 2008 I'm sure that Obama looked at every feasible candidate and weighed up their faults and weaknesses, and so I'm sure that Obama's sure that he made the right choice. He has impressively avoided any political gaffs or miscalculations and here once more, he has astutely chosen someone which counters his main critics and probably his weakest area in many voters eyes. This is just one more crucial step to his ultimate and inevitable goal. The Oval Office.
Britain's cycling success - is it cricket? 12:15pm on 19 Aug 2008 This is outrageous. The Aussies, the US or the Chinese would never moan about being too good in a sport. We finally have a sport in which we are dominant and we should bask in the glory. But instead we find reasons to put a negative spin on all this success. We should stop being so British and bask in the glory of our cyclists instead of worrying about everyone else.
Make time for MOTD's return 2:27pm on 17 Aug 2008 Less pointless breakfast bar chat with Linekar, Hansen and Shearer would be ideal.
