Belated win for Team GB but is anybody cheering? 6:58pm on 29 May 2008 What about the East German drugs cheats? The German government has a complete archive detailing who took what and when. Why do these people still have their Olympic World and European medals? I remember Kathy Cook (nee Smallwood), who was the finest sprinter of her generation, losing time after time to cheats who were never caught. Where are all her gold medals now? At this and future Olympics, those athletes who were robbed should be given their medals in a full Olympic ceremony. This must be considered if Athletics is to regain any of its credibility.
