There's a debate about that? I really dislike Terry, but he's up there with the top 5 defenders in the league. Carragher has been a fantastic servant to Liverpool, but he is too slow, and on yesterday's evidence, maybe even losing some of his strength.

Torres has much better finishing than Drogba or Rooney, and Drogba's team contribution as perhaps the world's best target man has been severely underestimated. He, like Ibrahimovic, can just as much for a team by standing in one place than Rooney or Tevez can by running for 95 minutes. People are making 'team contribution' synonymous with 'work rate'.

The author of the blog apparently did not see fit to mention this, and we are all left with the impression that United were robbed of a 2-1 victory.

The highest he's ever had in the Premiership is 16, in the 2005-06 season. Tevez, when starting regularly, scored more than Rooney in the 07-08 season (14 to 12 and 19 to 18 overall). I'm not saying he's better, but people who question his scoring record would do well to take this into account.
