Digital Media Anywhere 2:15pm on 14 Oct 2008 Wow, people are insanely picky. Platform neutrality doesn't mean every single platform. Should the BBC invest time and money in trying to get the iPlayer to work on windows 3.1? No, of course not. And if you're still going on about DRM, grow up, they don't have a choice, because they don't own all the rights to all the programmes. I for one think this is excellent news, and look forward to using it on my macbook.

What does the Olympic opening ceremony mean to you? 6:08pm on 08 Aug 2008 I loved the opening ceremony, really excellent. Do the Chinese people really want their country to change as much as everyone seems to think? I doubt it. Sure you have to register your protest in advance in Beijing, you also have to do that around parliament here. So hypocritical. Sure it's on a bigger scale, but things start small and just get bigger. And if most Chinese are ok with it, then who are we to force it on them. Just like with Sark, Jack Straw forced democracy on them when they were perfectly happy with the status quo, where's the democracy in that??
Interesting Stuff 2008-06-24 09:41am on 24 Jun 2008 I don't suppose there's any chance that the programme catalogue will return at any point? It was much better and more polished than the substandard /programmes.
Cram breaks record on Great Wall of China 12:18pm on 24 May 2008 I actually did the hike you did about 5 months ago, it was bloody freezing when we arrived, but within about 30 minutes of walking we were all down to T-shirts, it was about -8C at the time! It was great doing it in Winter because we were the only ones on the entire wall, except for the little old Mongolian women who followed us for a good 5 or 6km and then tried to guilt us into buying stuff. The zip line at the end was great, although worryingly our Chinese driver/"guide" decided to walk down instead.
