Can I just make it clear that I gave my genuine congratulations to the folks on the list yesterday and I meant it. I certainly wasn't raining on anyone's parade, I've no wish to at all. I was just just putting a point of view. And I was by no means having a pop at Clodagh; I agree with Daisy she had a thankless task.

Choir will have to wait till next week, I'm a whirling dervish at the moment. Maybe on the 23rd (hnya hnya hnya)? And it was Tinsel who tiddlypommed; she did it marvellously.

Off for a cut and colour then to see the younger Boleyngirl largeing (sp?) it in "Comedy of Errors", which I think I will call my autobiography.

Ok here's the list of 'jib ins' for the "Do" on the 23rd. . . 2:27pm on 10 Dec 2009 I have been umming and ahing about whether to put my tuppeneth in here, I may regret it but here goes:

Firstly, in the great universal scheme of things this party is pretty insignificant. I have no doubt that everybody who goes (including the 700 other listeners who applied for tickets) will have a fab time; the rest of us can listen to it in our warm cosy homes, raise a glass and not face a two hour journey home. And then it will be over. We'll all still be the same people with the same warts and foibles and there'll be other things to talk about.

HOWEVER. I agree with Jules that this has forged a devisive feeling on the blog. I don't include myself here but there are many bloggers who have been around , more on than off, for a long, long time, some who haven't even been mentioned yet, like Somerset Phoenix and Dreanurdream. Equally, Tinsel, you lovely girl, I think you were the very first person to welcome me to the blog early last year x.

Rips, I agree with you that Chris does not have the time or probably the inclination to follow the blog daily, but I actually think it was a little unusual to ask Clodagh to sort out the list for him, especially as he introduced his blog with "In my opinion." There were always going to be people who would feel left out, and reading about how great it is being a "Jib in" does not help!

I've no idea how he could have done it more fairly, except perhaps to make it into a sort of blog competition. As it is, I think it's all a bit of a shame.

Anyhoo, please don't anyone take this personally. It will all blow over but I guess some element of change in January is inevitable.

I really don't want to offend, I have had a ball on this blog, and no, I'm not "getting my coat", just off for some singing as usual.

Gingembre, I'm sorry to read of your horrible injuries, what a nightmare for you.

V.busy at the mo with Christmas practices, concerts and productions kicking off all around; many teachers, and children, feeling the strain just now! I hope all mummies and daddies out there enjoy their offsprings' festive performances, I'm watching both of mine tonight and tomorrow.

Me too off to barnet fixer tomorrow for my festive cut and colour, red gold and green maybe.

Baggy, you've written your Christmas cards?? and POSTED them??? I've still not finished my thank you letters from July!

Good afternoon friends and thanks for logging in. . . 9:48pm on 07 Dec 2009 I think this is hilarious, so glad I popped in! It's like a blogwide senior moment, hmm, now let me think... I really can't remember either! But I THINK Susan Boyle was this year and lost to Diversity, cos isn't it way back in January, or is that the Jungle, or maybe Celebrity Big Brother, but didn't that get cancelled? In which case, who did George Sampson pip at the post all that time ago, was it Gareth Gates? And would you believe, those disco dancing boys with the Simon Cowell/Tony Blair/etc masks turned up at our local Christmas Lights Turning-on do!

It's a mad world.

Can't wait to find out what Clodagh's been up to.

Am feeling a little sadder every time I listen to Sir Terry in the morning and our Chris at drivetime. Creature of habit me.

Sorry have been out of the loop and missed the calendar: next one for me is.... a stuffing ball.
