Wednesday 18 November 2009 1:21pm on 19 Nov 2009 It would be an utter travesty if Blair is made President of Europe as he would not stand a chance in a poll and does not even seek one.

Even worse would be that his proposed position made it unpalatable for any action to be taken against him if the Iraq inquiry uncovered that the public had indeed been fed a false prospectus quite deliberately.

New Labour have no shame yet Labour seem to be content to be expelled into oblivion in this latest battered coalesced form when there are no signs of life in personnel or ideology to retrieve the situation.

Would Blair perhaps be like some reminder of all that went wrong with Labour in the way that the Thatcher foundation showed all the went wrong with the Tories?

I suppose though as I vote Lib Dem they should all be left to their own ends, barring in Barking, and with luck the public will embrace the changes to the system that are needed above party interest - fair voting, an elected upper house and in my own ideal world a republic. A restored and reinvigorated democracy.

Do you mean "understand" in the way that your old pal jaded_Jean used to "understand" politics when ranting on about anarchism and Trotskyism and the need for National Socialism instead of democracy?

Do you mean "understand" the science when that poster did not understand that genetic variation is greater within a race than between races and hence there is no need or desire for eugenics, sterilization and so on?
As ever I am happy to rely on the scientific contributions to Race and Intelligence on Channel 4 and "The Incredible Human Journey" on the BBC.

Do you mean "understand" history in the way that your pal, whom you often praised, understood that the Holocaust "was made up to put people off statism" - though Nuremburg and the many Nazi war crime trials, including some current ones, have not been refuted by the "statistical evidence".

Do you mean "understand" in the way that your poster pal "understood" there is a "Jewish hegemony" and that there is yet more solid statistical evidence that is suited to the internet but not to any court where the validity and veracity of the data is tested?

What makes for a good democracy, I believe, is when the voters are are inclined to consider the value of the democratic system above party interest and steadfastly reject those that would lure them into the chains of a vile tyranny.

Some people may try to point the way but sometimes you need to look at the destination that they are suggesting.

Even the BNP have decided that they should consider bringing their philosophy into line with the law on admissions and they have two Euro MEPs that will provide them with the money.

Ironically they don't seem intent on using that money to show that the "science" upon which they claim their racial outlook is valid via the courts in regard to Party admissions.

If you are talking about a moral compass though the BNP would not be a good subject as Griffin refuses to discuss the Holocaust or his conviction for inciting racial hatred. The BNP are "not a Nazi party" they are "modern and progressive".

Polls show people are unhappy in regard to uncontrolled and unreasoned immigration but they are not in favour of racial hatred or dumping democracy in favour of national Socialism.
Wednesday 18 November 2009 - the plan so far 3:31pm on 18 Nov 2009 I have said in the past that given the attempts by far right posters to dominate this page and those others who are "inspired" by their National Socialist rantings on eugenics and Jews and so on.

They tend "to agree with" the BNP - you could almost say they were like BNP activists.

So when I see 116 people recommending something on Have Your Say quite consistent with their view that they would replace democratically elected politicians (with National Socialism) does it say anything?

Well, no, when you consider that in a general election the BNP will be lucky to elect a candidate and they have two MEPs largely because of the expenses scandal and the failures of the Labour Party. The votes for democratic candidates whose values are totally contrary to the BNP will be far in excess of those who vote BNP.

Do people even know what they are voting for? A "nationalist" party that has embraced other "nationalist parties" in Europe - some of whom I believe are more candid about their admiration of Hitler and so on.

Do the BNP rattle on about eugenics, Jews, replacing democracy, their various criminal convictions and so on - or do they use images of Spitfires and Churchill?

Can they progress their party without revealing what they stand for? Are they going to take their "evidence" that the Holocaust never happened to any trial anytime soon? Are they going to oppose the law that requires them to admit all races or are they going to produce the alleged "science" that they claim justifies their racial outlook?

They can't hide in the shadows with their flimsy fantasies and keep genuine supporters and those who have been duped by their rhetoric content simultaneously.

So do you think where the trees are and the location and scale of the pollution could be problematic?

Trees will absorb an amount of carbon but methinks the problem is a tad more complicated than that.
Tuesday 17 November 2009 12:58pm on 18 Nov 2009 It will be interesting to see how Obama responds to the Israeli announcement of more settler homes.

Will there be sanctions and will the Republicans in the US take the domestic imperative and ignore the outrage or the broader international need to try and bring genuine peace to the Middle East before all parties are armed with nuclear weapons and have become immune to each others arguments?

Clearly the Republicans have Sarah Palin who may run in 2012 and who has also read several newspapers.

Could they run their own initiative and dispatch her to bring some common sense to the table?

Of course they would need to get her a wardrobe that would be suited to the climate and I don't know how their finances are.

Perhaps its the effect of the tear in the space time continuum based around the Millenium Dome that also causes the huge majority of the scientists to disagree with you on the pressing need to reduce carbon rather than sit around chewing the cud with Roger Thomas - whom I am sure they are all very familiar with?

That same tear probably explains how Al Gore got the Nobel and you didn't.

The papers are reporting some scientists talking about a 6C rise in temperature by the end of the century.

Personally I couldn't care less if the scientists and those that report them have a thesaurus or not.

So lets get this straight you have said in the past that you don't like to visit London due to the racial mix but you would like to become an economic migrant to China.

You have also said that you agreed with the "fact attitude" of jaded_jean who thought Hitler was a good chap, was into eugenics, wanted National Socialism to replace democracy and claimed the Holocaust was made up to put people off "statists".

I suppose though your ultimate format would be somebody like your pal jaded_Jean, whom you have said you admire so often, banging on about National Socialism in a uniform and letting all of the anarchists, Trotskyites?

At least though your yourself are simply tangential and toothless as you need the uber-posters to excite you with their theories of eugenics and so on.

They don't seem to be around so much since Channel 4 ran their excellent series on race and science and shot away many of the ludicrous claims that these people make.

The Holocaust was made up to put people off statists after the war was already effectively won!

The sum total of their "scientific" rationale for eugenics seemed to reside in some comments by James Watson that he later recanted on and would appear to have been non-science.

Certainly Rageh Omars Race and Intelligence and the BBC's "Incredible Human Journey" confirmed the current understanding that genetic variation is greater within a race than between races.

So aren't you going to find your mentors?
Tuesday 17 November 2009 - the plan so far 1:08pm on 17 Nov 2009 Given the heated debate on Afghanistan - that seems to avoid one party identifying what they think would happen to AfPak if we all do pull out - how effective is the Pakistani offensive in Waziristan right now? That must have a profound influence in what happens next.

If al Qaeda are dislodged I assume they skidaddle off to their pals in Somalia and a new front opens potentially.

If they are cornered and sold out by a Taliban who must also be very tired of war then perhaps al Qaeda is effectively finished.

Is there realistically going to be any arrests in relation to Mumbai and how do India view that?

If drugs are fueling the Taliban and the conflict and Karzais brother is associated to that arena is there to be a genuine initiative - or do we have the right or capacity to interfere?
