Me and Me and Orson Welles 10:28am on 29 Nov 2009 On the flip side the best tagline this year was for, the nazi zombie horror comedy, Dead Snow. The tagline was, "EIN, ZWEI, DIE!".
The Best Christmas Movie Ever 11:04am on 16 Nov 2009 Christmas is as good a time as any to watch Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. A very cheap 1960s Z movie that is so bad it's almost funny if not heartbreaking and enduring even at a running time of 81 minutes.
The Revisitations of Doctor Kermode 4:08pm on 13 Oct 2009 Three fairly recent movies that I HAD to watch again were, There Will Be Blood, Inland Empire and Calvaire. The first viewings of these movies just left me completely overwhelmed and unsure of what just happened. Each time I have seen them again they start to reveal more.

Basic Instinct 2 is absolutely fantastic. The problem everyone had with it is they took it way too seriously and didn't see it for the delightful hyper-reality trash that it was. It also has the best running sight gag, with the London Gherkin, in any film. Which also doubles up as a parody of every modern film shot in London having to feature the gherkin.

No matter where he was: a ski lift; on the beach; or at the carnival, he always had perfect reverb. What really annoys me is when people have conversations, and can be clearly heard, when in clubs or when a live band is playing. Something that is impossible in reality.

Repeating on me 11:09am on 25 Sep 2009 One of the more disturbing films with eating as a theme has to be Jan Svankmajers, 'Little Otik'. Even before the stump goes on it's eating rampage the close ups of people eating is frankly stomach churning.

Review: Vincent Cassel in Mesrine 2:13pm on 07 Aug 2009 You didn't even mention Dobermann which also has: Monica Bellucci as his deaf and slightly crazy girlfriend; Romain Duris as a transvestite; Tcheky Karyo as a psychopathic policeman, and is very stylishly directed by Jan Kounen.

Very much agree Vincent Cassel is one of the finest actors around.
