Competitive elections in China? 10:04am on 12 Mar 2009 The more I read this blog, the more I am surprised to find hot blooded younger chinese remember well the chinese history 100 years ago, but not really well for things happened 20, 30 years ago. Perhaps the middle aged chinese all chose not to recall those terrible days and let the 20 year old chinese assumed things have all been good along.
To be fair, we have to admit errors been committed, terrible things have happened to comon chinese people, from imperialist outside 80 years ago and from communist inside 40 years ago.
That is why Zhivago is relevant.

20 years ago, there were common citizen / students killed and Beijing was under military rule in that period. We all witnessed the blood, flesh, fire, broken arms and legs. Asked the capital pepole's hospital, if they still kept any record. One need courage to admit wrong was done.
Competitive elections in China? 10:03am on 10 Mar 2009 I just watched the indian /british movie slumdog millionaire, and then I re watched Dr. Zhivago and now these are the questions:

What election?
What should election bring?
what is the aim and responsibility of a government?
Given a choice, India, Russia, China, US or UK........ where would one like to live?
I thought of the last chapter of Animal farm.

sher performanc ei swell above the rest of the other competitior.
I would like to draw everyone's attention, Guo is very much a handicapped, her left eye only has 10-20 % vision left, she might even qualified for the handicapped Olympi c games that followed.

Guo said she hardly could see the diving platform, she could only dive by feelings.
Like the single leg swimmer who made to the national swmiming team, these are real heros.
8th of the 8th, 2008 05:09am on 09 Aug 2008 This web of Mr Reynold's /or BBC serves a distinct func tion. Through this, I read some of the 9overseas) Tibetan 's view, some westerners and many Han Chinese ( overseas or Mainland.)
Tibet issue is a ongoing one until oneday, both parties realise the coexistance is for common good. Millions of mainland Tibetans may rate their life improved since under the current political situation. They are not in deep soorw awaiting rescue, rather the overseas Tibetan has their problems and restrictions imposed by growing up in foreign soil.

There are German Americans, Korean American, Italian Americans, one day Tibetan (overseas) Tibetans will learn and realise their wishes of being an autonomus region in their homeland, as a proud Tibetan Chinese.
China is a multicultural country, the only peaceful way is through education and civilised negotiation , to remain as a unified country.
Most overseas Tibetan may not have realise their homeland's improvement. To argue for independence would destropy the millions of native Tibetan who has enjoyed a much better life now as compare to before.

For the BBC and the west, we look forward to have great visions and wisdom , to convince the world that The west deserve the respect and highest civilian civilisation ever achieved in mankind.
The greatness of any civilisation has to have a world value incorperated.

This is the hope I have on the evening 8th of Aug, 2008, as Gold medallist Li Ning ran round the stadium symbolically carrying the olympic fire.
Let advancment be fair and according to civilised step. Why settle by guns and terrorism. Sure there are better ways to settle difference.

I always look on BBC to provide a fair platform.

#12, I don't think China or ordinary Chinese ever thought of claiming Korea as part of China. This is something very new to me. I lawys thought he two countries have been friends for thousands of years.
# 66, my goodness, you must be overseas for a very very long time. There may be rights or wrongs in the students movement at Tian An mun, but using Tanks to 'kill' defenseless young peole while they were asleep is not right. This is FACT and very BASIC.

I guess most of you are now in UK or Somewhere in Europe. If you people cannot convince each other and has to end up using guns and rods, it would be disgraceful to the heaven and human civilsation.

There are emotionally charged pieces and repeatedly demanding wholly agreement from either parties.

The big direction has to be clear.
Chinese is not American, and Tibetans will have his role much larger than red indians.
Many chinese are influenced by Tibetan buddhist religion.
It is NOT a life or death issue, both people have survived thousands of years, Bot h peole are basicaaly civilised and considerated 'tribes'.
For all overseas Tibetan, should again learn about the history and see how one can adjusted life in a multicultural China.
How can you imagine New Mexcio became independent again? or Texas be a republic again.

Europe no doubt has its prime time so does India, China, or any great nations on earth.
For bloggers to downgrade Germany or France is simply childish and equally blind as
saying others do not know who Gong li is.

A mature nation relys on mature citizen and students.
A global perspective needs more calibre in time , history, georgaphy and culture.
If Italy can have the Pope and Vatican, China can have Dala.
But for Tibetan to claim Sichuen and Kanshu?, would like the Pope to claim the holy roman empire back.
Will French agree?

this kind of emotionally chagred and ''racial consideration appeals to the young and is very destructive.
Destructive in a sense to the good of the person , as it breads hatre , blind the good soul and solve nothing except being used by others.
furthermore , one loses the reasoning to work for the boring greater good.

To work together is very boring and lack all the excitments that appeals to the young and energetic heart and body....
Tibetan talks 11:15am on 04 Jul 2008 I never have the chance to read views from Tibetan before, till I scan this blog.
I think it is a reality like the Red indians and the aboriginals in Australia; of course, the analogy just stop at physical reality, Tibet has a much longer and much far reaching influence in human civilisation than the natives of America and Australia.
Tibet or Tibetan Buddhist influences generations of Chinese and Asians, and now the west as well.
In this regard Tibet or Tibetan civilisation never dies.
The only possible or realistical or even the best outcome is to live and sahre this aprt of the world with the other 50 ethinic Chinese groups.
To claim a greater Tibet is like having the aboriginals to claim 2/3 of Austrlia or the Red Indians to claim all the NW territory, Manitoba from Canada or the whole mId west, California included , from the US.

That is truly unrealistic.

The second and third generation Tibetan have been directed to some misbelief , that all their problems came from the occupation of the Han Chinese government.
To many Han, the government have a much generous policy towards the minority.
Even Japanese and Chian can sit down to talk, there is much more common ground in this Tibet affairs.
I hope the Tibetan reading this blog realised your duties as well.
Tibetan's fate link with the China, if China progress in human right, liberty or whatever, Tibetan will share so as part of the big China family.
Discrimination? I bet you have more of these from the European countries or India.

See the similarities, do not stress on the difference, push on for the greater good for Tibetan, the China, or the world.
You too have a huge responsilities, like dala, think about the longterm good.
Our fate is linked.
