Manchester City making waves 08:49am on 24 Aug 2009 Phil I have got a feeling that Mark Hughes will not last long at City. As a Man Utd fanatic I will vehemently take you up on your conspicuous "resentment" of Carlos Tevez's affection he was inundated with at Utd. The guy gay everything(body & soul) whenever he put on that red shirt. With all due respect to Sir Alex I think that 25 million for Tevez was worth it as compared to Berba's 30 million. Before I get misconstrued let me emphasize that I'm not doubting Berba's qualities or trying to misguidedly bash him But for me 30 million for an aging player wasn't very prudent of us. As for Manchester City the hype surrounding them is reminiscent of a kid's intense attention to new toys. But soon reality will sink in and they will realize that they are still approximately 18 league trophies away from having the slightest of credence to throw jibes at the Old trafford Invincibles. This doesn't smack arrogance but is an imperative reminder of the gulf in success that still exists between the two teams.

That's the ignorance/lack of critical analytic skills that sinks deep and boils my heart. How have you come about the conclusion that your assertions/perception merits the credence of being called facts. Don't you have androgenic relatives who have never heard of a thing called sex change in their lives yet suffer the unwarranted humiliation/ridicule from the so called "perfect" few. You really should travel a lot around the world especially to Africa. At times we complain about crime, terrorism when our ruthless actions of discrimination (covert and explicit) really breed the "monsters" out there. Someone is trying to withstand the tide of belittlement for being different yet some of the narrow minded people persist to tell them that they are not what they are. It's unfathomable how we have stooped to such low levels as a human race. Jealousy, hate, misguided elevation of oneself above others devours our hearts. Are you that lethargic to avoid trying to elope from that slippery slope? Remember that one day it might be your beloved one, kid, or you egregiously and wrongly put into the public scrutiny. The phrase DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO DO UNTO is just a teleological statement that has no religious inclination and helps maintain the social balance. Reflect on your conclusions and weaknesses before you write/say them as you will stain your conscience if they are flawed. Words are like guns they have the power to culminate in genocides if misused. May she (Semenya) find peace and not resort to detrimental ways of finding solace because such kind of emotional trauma is extremely hard to get over. What a cruel world we have built.

It's not like I'm naive to claim that in terms of controversial incidents football "mobs the floor with rugby" but your generalisation is a disproportionate and emotionally mischarged "advice". Richards hasn't done his reputation and rugby justice and unfortunately in life you have people who rejoice at the demise of others. I also shun that sort of attitude but I can't rest on my laurels when the beatiful game gets soiled by the rugby "escapades". Just calm down and realise that Rirchards and co. invited such innuendos and brought the game into disrepute not the football status. Stay safe mate and don't waste your time looking forward to a "quick sand" slip of soccer as only a fool would be oblivious of the mistakes everyone is susceptible to.

Who doesn't have features/traits they would want to avoid parading to the whole universe. Each and every one of us has skeletons hidden in our private closets yet we proceed to take a high moral ground to gang up on an 18 year old with perceptions not yet validated. Couldn't the IAAF have done these tests confidentially without alerting us unless if the results proved that there were anomalies pointing a finger to a case of cheating? Is the adage “Innocent until proven otherwise” selective to people/races. Imagine if your doctor suddenly splashed every detail of your problems to the "glare" of the public. No matter what happens the young girl's image has been tarnished beyond repair. Her crime is being androgyny which is something no-one asks for when they are born. The fact that she is black raises eyebrows on the way the issue has been handled by the different sinister forces involved. Imagine if it was your child (Black or white) trying to overcome the stigma enforced by the small minded people in this World (see her grandmother’s input) by facing the judgmental public through her God given talents only to be disproportionately lampooned. The word “sorry” has lost it meaning as people now purposefully, and passively hurt others under the pretext that they will say SORRY after the prejudice. But I think God sees the torment of the soul inflicted by the heinous lot and would make each and every one of them understand that pain one day. I used to be blinkered until life threw its unpredictable wheel at me. This world is really depressing to live in nowadays. Her internal pain cannot be described as I have come to learn that.

Owen worth Man Utd gamble 8:16pm on 03 Jul 2009 Once again I don't know whether I'm the only who sees things differently but the problem with United is not the strike force.It is in the midfield. We were shown up against Barca in that department and I'm in aghast as to why we haven't brought up any defensive midfielders. On the other hand Owen coming on a free transfer is odd yet with an intriguing potential. But please Fergie get someone like Essien/Fabregas in the team. I don't mean those unlikely faces but faces of the same type would be priceless. Ever since Keane left His position hasn't been replaced. Scholes and Giggs are nearing the end of their careers these are the sort of people we have to focus on. Next season again let's have some more faith on Nani and Ando. There is no need for us to try and emulate the ailing Real Madrid bonanza spree. We just have to get the right players for Manchester United who are passionate and committed to the cause.
Bitter recriminations at the Bridge 3:51pm on 07 May 2009 Man Utd fan here in peace. I thought of being a neutral yesterday but the , media hype about how Barca would destroy chelsea after their demolition of Madrid, and Chelsea's performance yesterday swayed me to sympathize with the Stamford boys. I just can't explain how UEFA selects these inapt referees. For goodness sake, everyone makes mistakes but not if they become three in a big game you definitely have to learn from them and do the right thing. That was shambles epitomized. Commiserations to all Chelsea fans, i thought that Essien goal was out of this planet. Brilliant stuff. One thing that was proven yesterday was how overrated the Spanish league is, seriously Cech didn't have to make a decent save all night(save for the goal). But what of Drogba's miss and his tantrum. I know the adrenaline was pumping but honestly he went overboard. Also why did Hiddink not bring a Striker on after Drogba went off, that really cost them the game. Talk about parking the bus, when will teams ever learn that the rule must be effectively implement in the added minutes.Ballack tried to protect his body rather than block the Iniesta shot. But Chelsea were clearly robbed by some horrendous officiating i've ever seen in a long time.I Do feel sorry for Ballack,terry,Lampard, et.al...who are nearing their footballing career end. They do deserve that trophy pity football doesn't work that way.
Can Wenger fill the gap? 1:45pm on 05 May 2009 As for the Stamford bridge match I think that this hype over Barca by most of the media outlets could fuel most Chelsea players to an amazing CL night tomorrow.I have always thought that Guus strives well in these big matches tactically. And i don't think is going to change tomorrow. Barcelona's defense would definitely be stretched tomorrow irrespective of the outcome.
Can Wenger fill the gap? 1:13pm on 05 May 2009 To all those Man-Utd fans wishing for Rooney to be left out of the first team today, I think that this decision if undertaken will be very misjudged. It's like counting your chickens before they hatch. What good does it help to bring a player when you are already in danger of being eliminated(in the case of the unexpected taking place at the Emirates). Remember the Fulham game. I think that growth and maturity in life is not only about the handling the easy options but also entails the ability to channel the mind in the right way even under immense pressure. That is Psychologically, Rooney would be devastated if He was to be used as a substitute tonight. I think that the boy has come off leaps and bounds and we(SAF and all the fans) have to show some confidence and trust in him handling his own in the disciplinary side of the game. But I think that the manager SAF concurs with this thought line and would play Him. Any way here is hoping for a good win and complacency "averseness".

Get a grip of yourself. Bitterness induces a traumatizing stress that affects the heart. You might get a heart attack.
