dotconnect I would write why this is not explosive but what really is the point? If you can't see why this story was so biased then read the above posts which are not as you put it turning the boards into a joke but real views of the very people who pay tax for this company.
Osbourne has not broken an laws or rules even the BBC have finally admitted same but the myth is still recycled endlessly on the website and Peston and Robison should hang their heads in utter shame.

When we went camping to keep the fire going we use to "flapaplate" vigourously a the fire to blow air over the embers and create more heat and thus flames A more accurate description I cannot find for what precisely the BBC are now doing they are "flapaplating" the story. The other main and importnat stories are all hidden of course behind the smaoke.
We are in a downturn. Of course if the Tories were in this would have been a massive recession no I'm wrong from day 1 would have been a Depression according to the BBC.

Meanwhile not a single question pursued not one! to Mandelson about what he was doing there and why a 'clarification' was needed to his story (he misled????)and he is again all over the Sunday papers but on the BBC ....err ...nothing. Osbourne even today is still getting quite good coverage and its now moved to "The Osbourne affair" so positioning it now as an historical fact to be reported everytime the government screws up again and when the election comes it will be front page yet again (On the BBC that is)

When are the BBC going to look at the F1 affair? Well they do do balanced reporting dont they?

The BBC days are now numbered and I would suggest you start looking for another job in the private sector. I doubt they would have you of course as this is the real world.

I had just wondered as a member of the British public ( remember us ...well maybe not but we are the ones the other side of the camera lens) If you had noticed that while you have been busy with the political dialogue elsewhere that Sterling (that great British currency that this government took Britania off) is now down against almost every other currency and now down to $1.66 against the dollar? May we the British public have the wisdom of your expertise on this turn of events. I was looking for some report on this to guide me on my way but alas.. there was none or are you now appointed to the sports desk today and thus unavailable for comment?

Rothschild "won't back down" 9:58pm on 21 Oct 2008 I see on another blog that it is reported (with scanned letter from SFO) that it is indicating an investigation into possible leaks of market sensitive informaton following written complaints.

Would Mr Peston like to comment on this as the Business editor of the BBC and give us his expert opinion on what this means to us the public? Should I be worried about my investments and more so my pension. Your expert advice is appreciated.

The real story is Mandelson who was trade commissioner and now government minister being too close and in a conflict on interest situation. You carefully choose to ignore that fact which now as far as I am concerned means the following:

1) The BBC is Labour bias and the mouthpiece of a discredited government
2) What ever you write in the future is pointless it will have no credibility
3) Why are you reporting on politics is that not Nick Robinsons job to twist the facts in the favour of Nu labour?

I and many others no longer view the BBC news as an honest assessmnet of the facts and as such will campaign for your provatisation and removal of the despicable tax that funds your lifestyle

Quizzing Cameron 11:21pm on 29 Sep 2008 Totally sick and tired of the BBC political bias to Nu labour. Just watching a tory Minister again getting a savaging on a political interview on Newsnight and being utterly ridiculed for no reason at all when Labour ministers never ever get the same and did not last week. I am sick and tired of this political bias shown. Apparently the Tories are only 10 points ahead according to the femail BBC interviewer (who constantly inturrupted) so that speaks volumes to me when we all know that was one isolated and not very good poll but is repeated as if it was the best ever.
Totally Disgusted.
New world, new Brown 8:35pm on 21 Sep 2008 I am truly fed up with the BBC. On the day that the most in depth poll shows that Labour are to be totally wiped out across the country not a mention. Given the Labour conference is on I find this hard to understand as it has to rate as top news.

However Gordon is promoted as he will do better and also gets a nice little cuddle from Mr Marr in an interview which was the equivilant of being savaged by a half dead hamster.

This is an utter national disgrace because if it were the other way round and the Tories were in that position it would be front page every day (and you did in 1997)

Heroes to zeroes? 5:58pm on 04 Jul 2008 Apologies about not quite completing post 86 its just that to type a keyboard after falling under the old park bench (tripped up over the plug into the lampost) but after reading Grandantidotes post (mentioned in my own post ..well ...say no more.)
like a previous poster mentioned "sympathy offered normal hostilties will be resumed" (funny never seen a statement as nice as that from a Nu lab apologist but still)

PS I was present during two ship builds in Govan(Ok not a lot) but the workers there are really great shipbuilders. However ,would it just be lovely that having got the signature on the "proverbial dotted " they voted SNP anyway just for the shear hell of it hey its only a by election lasting no more than 18 months. Expenses are not everything to having fun you know.

Dis they , most? 26? I do believe (or the normal scoundrels as we have too but 'widdy' yes I am surprised but still you live and learn). Now let me see aginst how many labour MP's (besides ministers thet you did mention, accepted no argument on that one with you) . You know they went against us the voter who has to cover every single penny with a receipt (me inclued). Mu ccoker broke last year had to buy another one but could not really afford it. It was either that or a 20quid Bar-b-que. Anyway I digress I ask again what do these Nu labour idiots have to do to get your wrath. I suspect after my last nights post it is not drowing kittens so maybe its nuclear war.

Tittle tattle? 5:11pm on 03 Jul 2008 Well I'm all for free speech but the NuLabour apologists here are spinning so fast that they really should be connected to the national grid rather than building all those totally pointless windmills.

The point is that it is a valid point to raise and had it been Cameron on the receiving end I just cannot see you all ignoring it. NuLab and you Labour luvvies would have been at it like a pack of hyenas. However, Its what we have come to expect from a washed out government as they try and defend the indefensible. ( e.g.The 'Duracell bunny' Hazel Bliars comments after PMQ.

Just admit it it was a stonking great shot delivered with precision as Brown though he had the upper hand and then got hit with a bulls eye full on and the only clunking was Browns limp body hitting the canvas.
Sadly the disgraceful actions of the speaker (yet again) saved Brown. Check it out even Brown rises to his feet to continue to answer Cameroon then sits. Camron would have just been thrown to the wolves if it was the other way round.

Not to worry anyway. On Planet Nulabour inflation is down, crime is down , and we have never had it so good. All we need now is a "pips sqeak" speech and hey we would have gone the full cycle.
