Docking bankers' pay 6:04pm on 08 Feb 2009 In a way limiting pay and bonuses could be good for the UK economy in the longterm. Many of the brightest science and engineering graduates go straight from their degrees in to the City, which makes a bit of a brain-drain away from the science and engineering industries for which they actually trained.

Maybe if the pay in the City is not quite so high, more graduates will be tempted to work in an industry that can actually sustain the country. I've read that teaching colleges are already reporting that people with higher grades are applying to become teachers.
Craigslist vs eBay: It's war 6:30pm on 14 May 2008 Quote: "These guys want Ebay out because they now have some remorse over the deal. Why did they let them in in the first place? Because they thought it would make them more money."

I thought it was because a former Craigslist director sold his stake to Ebay, rather than Craigslist deciding Ebay might be a nice investor.
