England bowling lacks menace 00:24am on 21 Jul 2008 At this stage of the match, it is still anyone's game. True, South Africa are HOT favourites and it is looking increasingly likely that in the next 48 hours, they will take a 1-0 lead in this series.

That said, it is also important to remember that England still have a few more batters in the ranks. The reason why Jimmy Anderson was introduced into the game was to protect the two key batsmen, who are Kevin Pietersen and Ian Bell, both of whom have shown signs in recent weeks of fantastic form.

For KP, this will be a different challenge to that posed in the 1st test. The SA team now know what he can do, how he goes about his game, and most of all, where he is likely to hit the ball. They will be planning how to net trap him from the very first ball and the same goes for Ian Bell.
Is Twenty20 too much of a good thing? 00:18am on 21 Jul 2008 I don't see a problem with the T20 tournaments, but what concerns me is that all these so called countries are dedicating more and more time to this form of the game, when they should be spending their time and energy improving the ultimate form of the sport, which is test cricket.

T20 is a fantastic way to get youngsters into the game, but let's also think about the associate countries who dream about playing 4 day and full test matches. The ODI and T20 market should be geared towards these teams, as it could generate some pretty good results.

Thats fantastic news and I can't say how I glad I am that TMS are back for another summer.

As a 19 year old cricket lover, I always found it hard at school to have TMS around me, but at Uni, it's not been a problem and all I can say is roll on Thursday!

Time to get the Radio, a newspaper, some revision notes, and of course a beverage (or two), and head down to the beach or the park

Here's to some great cricket, some great memories and to the future!
