Xbox Live gets truly social 1:33pm on 03 Jun 2009 I'm sorry... What did I miss? The only demo that WASN'T live was Milo. Which like I said - Meh. Natal was trailered, and then live demo'd on stage. How was that faked?

I'm fully aware of the few titles PS3 titles gave attention to on stage. There is no need to patronise. I was simply saying that overall the time they gave the PS3 games on stage, I found dissapointing.

It's ridiculous how your not allowed to speak your opinion on here. I don't critise yours - regardless of what I think of them.
Xbox Live gets truly social 12:32pm on 03 Jun 2009 The favoritsm on here infuriates me sometimes. Why is it so difficult to give ALL of them SOME credit? They all had high and low points.

Sony spent FAR too much time on the PSP. Why do they insist on pouring so much money into something that doesn't do particulary great anyway? For crying out loud, put the money and time into some games. Then they metion that the PS2 is getting 100 TITLES this year and then they show us but a handfull of ps3 stuff? It was pretty poor. More PS3 stuff would have been nice. As for the wand, I honestly don't know what to think about that just yet. Some parts of the demo seemed impressive, others not so much. The Last Guardian looks SUPERB though.
I found it a better presentation that Nintendo though, that was horrendously dissapointing. What with the making out all these games were BRAND NEW when they were just more old characters revived once more? Mario Galaxy 2 and M&L looked decent, but I was little gutted that Zelda got no more than a passing mention.
Microsofts Natal was more than impressive - more so for the recognition/control factors more so than the games side of it (imo anyway) Some good announcements like Crackdown 2, L4D2 and Halo Reach - which if done right could hold a great story, for a change.. The Milo thing though? Meh is all I can really say.

They all had highs and lows. I wonder sometimes how far out of thier own favorable box people look.
E3 2009: Predictions 08:46am on 03 Jun 2009 lol @ The people mocking Microsoft! All three presentations had thier weak points. The whole Lionhead/Milo thing was odd... Really not sure about that as a whole.

lmao @ the 'scripted' thing! That's right... Microsoft were the ONLY ones to script their presentation...

Anyway. Back on topic. I think the social thing and the features around seem great. Not just the fact that we'll be able to access Facebook/Twitter etc via the dash, but more so the intregal features of it. I'm really looking forward to it myself!

Thought it was a pretty cracking conf. overall to be honest. Slow start, but it certainly picked up! Expensive winter ahead me thinks!
Why PlayStation 2 still matters 4:29pm on 09 Apr 2009 Yes I do own ALOT of PS2 & 1 titles. However, some months ago my PS2 died. I WANT to replace this with a PS3. That's the problem. Plus, even if I did still own one... Your telling me that having both a PS2 and a PS3 hooked up is ideal? The 2 in 1 thing would be great.
And as explained; I'm not interested in Blu Ray/ HD movies etc etc. I want it for the gaming side, and nothing else.
Really, there is no denying that when thats what you want, it is a little bit of a let down... Especially for that amount of money.

See, I'm gutted I didn't snap up a 60gb PS3 now! Am keeping my eye out for one of those second hand!

But my opinion is simply that if there is no BC - I'm not buying a PS3. I would like one - But the cost is far to much in terms of what it has to offer in terms of games (nothing else - I don't care about Blu Ray, Web Browser etc etc) I'm interested in the GAMES. And, frankly it offers me very little.

Full BC and a bit of a price cut and I'm there! *hopes* But not otherwise.

Just have to add... In regards to the price-wars, Wireless controllers are standard with 360s now, you don't have to fork out for them!
Am i right in thinking, that to match the PS3 the 360 (premium at 179.99) would need a wireless adapter (59.99/69.99) and a Live membership? (39.99) would still make it cheaper...?

May be wrong, thats just going off the top of my head.

But anyway... A PS3 price cut would be great!

Where did you get these figures, if you don't mind me asking?
Because as far as I'm aware, there was a week or two when sales of the PS3 were stronger than the 360, but nothing more than that, i'm fairly certain that's not the case in terms of overall sales.
Gaming is good for you 11:14am on 05 Jan 2009 It's quite depressing that despite who says, or even prooves to us that gaming is good for you - there will always be people stomping thier feet and claiming how ridiculous that is - despite never picking one up.

The fact is - they really are good for your mind. Aside from skills that are claimed to be braught on by the likes of WoW, the fact is that games stimulate your mind, and your co-ordination. What does sitting in front of the TV watching reality TV shows do for your mind? Nothing!

I'm a fairly hardcore gamer. I spend most evenings playing games online and off. And yet another factor of this whole thing is the possible social aspect. Most evenings I'll hook up with some of my close friends online, we'll play games and have a laugh. And it's fantastic - this is a fairly large part of my relationships with these mates as they don't live close by. All this adds up - at least to me - as a massive factor of games doing much more than people realise.

I just hope that before long this narrow-mindedness stops - it's a shame that people critise something they know very little of - when the potential for everyone is there, and is huge.
