Should Matt "do God?" 3:59pm on 26 Aug 2009 I don't understand what Jeff Peel sees as wrong with the new Chief Constable declaring that he is a Christian. For many of us our faith is the main thing in our lives. His police work has got him into one of the top jobs in the United Kingdom so he must be very good.
What they don't say... 3:00pm on 20 Jul 2009 Maybe Peter should start following Antrim. The DUP are on their way down as are his football team Chelsea, so backing a winning side, even if it is GAA, might not be a bad move.
On Their Bikes 3:13pm on 15 Jun 2009 Well done Roy Beggs Jr! You won the race for the UUP/Cons and left Ian Paisley Jr eating your dust - much like Jim Allister will come the Westminster election.
In fact, this race could symbolise the next election - the UUP/Cons leading the way, with the DUP falling behind and Allister coming from the back to take a credible position. Watch this space!
Voting for Change (and a Tub of Lard) 3:30pm on 22 May 2009 If only more people could see David Cameron in Northern Ireland I truly believe that Unionists would realise the potential that exists for a stronger Union. He is extremely able, media savvy and a passionate Unionist.

A Long Lunch 3:52pm on 28 Apr 2009 An MLA should be the Assembly for the statement if they want to speak on the topic being raised. To turn up to any meeting, let alone a sitting of the assembly, and expect to speak after just arriving a few minutes before the end is just rude and stupid.
Still arguing over "Sir" Ted 4:52pm on 03 Apr 2009 The fact that Kennedy is getting an honour is truly sickening. He has never been a friend of the United Kingdom.
Another grim day 2:21pm on 11 Mar 2009 billy_carryduff - if people want to express their sympathies they should be able to do so in any forum of their choosing. Not all of us live near the scenes of the murders and so sometimes leaving messages of support online or in newspapers is the only choice we have.

I would also like to add my sympathies to those already expressed. Let's hope and pray that the evil men and women responsible are soon caught and brought to justice.

I think that the link will certainly see a change in the political landscape here. Just look at the DUP reaction. They're under pressure, not only from the UUP/Tory link, but also from Allister.
Our conjoined ministers 09:55am on 20 Feb 2009 The DUP wouldn't be at the top without Sinn Fein and vice versa. The need each other to scare 'the other side' into voting for the extremes. Robinson and McGuiness deserve each other. Peter justs needs to realise that without the 'Co-First Minsiter' he is politically null and void as nothing can be passed by OFMDFM without them both.

A sad, but true, reflection of reality in the Assembly.
"Get used to it" 10:10am on 28 Jan 2009 Carál Ní Chuilín really put her foot in her mouth this time. The masked slipped, if only for a second, and people could see the true reality that a DUP/Sinn Fein carve up exists and will simply dominate the other parties to suit their needs.
