'Just say no' 8:08pm on 22 Nov 2009 Brian, I have not seen any coverage of the flooding in Scotland on news 24 or on any national news reports. It's as if Scotland doesn't exist as far as the bbc is concerned.

And what has happened to coverage of First Ministers Questions on freeview. Either not important as far as the bbc is concerned, or just too imposrtant, so much so that we are now subject to a news blackout.

Time to sort out the balance of power, don't you think.

Just say yes to taking control of our own destiny, and being able to control this countries natural resources and economy for the benefit of our own country, rather than to the benefit of the fat cats at Westminster.

I was very disappointed last night when the first 10 minutes of The Scots Who Made the Modern World were blotted out by 10 minutes of Horizon.

I note the the Scots programme is not even on I Player.

When are we going to see the first 10 minutes of that programme, or do the BBC consider a programme about Scots to be unimportant?

Pity, as BBC licence payers, we didn't get the same coverage (if any), that the other parties got.

Indeed, the other parties actually had live coverage, and then repeat after repeat after repeat.

However, our Scottish Governments coverage has been pitiful.

By all means publish your opinions and second hand accounts, but it's also good to be able to get the information live, rather than being filtered to give us what the BBC considers to be the juiciest bits.
The plebiscite to end all plebiscites 4:42pm on 15 Oct 2009 I wonder if Brian has taken a holiday this week.

Considering he attended the Westminster Labour conference, you would think he should be attending the conference of the Scottish Government.

Although maybe it's just a convenient excuse for avoiding it!

If that's the case, for what reason, I wonder. Given that the new BBC guidelines say that they are to give equal coverage to all political parties.

I really think there should be a fitness test to see if politicians really are fit to govern a country, bearing in mind that very few of them have had a real job.

What qualifications do any of them really have that ensures they have the right skills to run a country?

What makes them think they can do it better than the current lot?
What makes the current lot think they can do the job better than anybody else (when they patently cannot)?

Make we should have a PM Factor, where they have to "perform" in front of a live audience (like a debate I suppose) and maybe Simon (from the X variety) to give them a mouthfull when it is apparent that they do not have the right skills.
Could be a winner.

Has Ian Gray heard about his own parties plans south of the border to cut the education budget in England and Wales by £2 billion?

Will that not cause problems with class sizes down south.

You mentioned arithmetic in your last blog article. Wouldn't have thought that was one of your strong points. Is that a result of teaching under Labour rule?

I wish everyone would get real, about this and many other things.

It's not something where you can just flick a switch and magically all class sizes are 18 or less.

These things have to be phased in, don't they.

Teaching plans and school plans will all have to be adjusted to reduce the number of children in each class.

What would Labour have done - wave a magic wand, or just keep it quite for a while and don't do anything?

The fact is, Labour let Scottish schools, roads, rail and everything else fall into disrepair, and don't have anything new to add to the debate rather than the stuck record they've been playing in Scotland for the past 50 years.
Lib Dems pina colada blues 10:41am on 22 Sep 2009 but then again, I suppose there is only really ONE Scottish party in Scotland!
