Barack to the future 10:45am on 10 Nov 2008 I am a big fan of Robbo's blogs (they are usually very funny!), but I have to agree with the critics on this one!!, this blog was awful.

Trying to draw parralells with football and Obama was overly ambitous!! merely jumping on this media bandwagon and trying to "connect with the people" ... and resulted in a crap blog!

I'm still a fan of Robbo and look forward to his next blog, preferably about football!!
Wenger satisfied as critics silenced 7:56pm on 09 Nov 2008 From reading all the comments, here are my two cents!:

Bentdner played well, - he wasn't sharp infront of goal, but considering he was on his own up front, he was a handful.
He took Vidic and Rio out of the game, pinning them in and stopping them from moving forward.- thus giving space for Fabregas and Nasri to create chances!!

"Fabregas going down hill"- you have got to be joking?

Walcott played well, considering he was evidently not 100% fit!, he held the ball and forced the line when he could and showed alot of maturity.

Was a close match, considering our recent injuries, a draw would have been a good result, but im very happy with the win!!
The end game? 2:48pm on 06 Nov 2008 Moreover, people voted for Obama because:

1. He can change the world.

2. I want poverty to end, especially in Africa!!

3. I want a safer country to live in.

4. I want to be happier

5. I want all the wars in the world to end.

6. I dont want to use any oil from the middle east

7. I want better relations with every country in the world.

8. a cleaner earth,

9. better furture for my children

10. save the environment,

11. world without fear

12. end all wars

And thats great IF Obama can deliver on all of that, then fair play to him!!, I wish him all the best,

But, people need to realise that being president does not endow him with omnipotency!, there are somethings that presidents can not change!

...therefore promising to do so, is irresponsible and hey, maybe he just said it to get votes, you never know (politicians dont lie, do they?)

People need to read between the lines, before merely pointing out the "evils" of fox news, they need to criticise their own media.
The end game? 2:19pm on 06 Nov 2008 A few examples, the liberal media has been backing Obama since the primaries!!,

Hillary Clinton suffered, everytime she "laughed" (cackled in her case) or "cried", the news pundits jumped on it stating that she was being machiavelen and doing it to gain support! (it was ridiculous, cant a person laugh anymore).

You Tube.com has alot to answer aswell, being overwhelmingly Pro-Obama and making a joke out of anything Clinton or McCain said in their speeches!

Palin, is the newest victim of this media (prank phonecalls etc.) backlash, and now everyone thinks shes a dumbass and its not really her fault.
The end game? 2:14pm on 06 Nov 2008 "I voted to keep Sarah Palin out of the White House. We've had enough of that kind of pandering to the worst elements of the US."

I like how alot of people are very quick criticise "Fox news" for distorting the image of Barack Obama, however when the mainstream (left wing) media shift to make republicans look like idiots, no-one says anything!

Palin is a very capable candidate, but was an "easy-target", by a liberal media hell bent on making Obama win and sabotaging the opposition,

... I am not denying that Fox news is not biased on the right wing (Fox news dont deny it), but liberal media has made this campaign hell for McCain and Palin and no-one criticises it!

everyone is caught up in the moment, and hasn't stopped to think!
What victory would mean 4:10pm on 04 Nov 2008 Politicians before an election are often good at telling people what the want to hear!, - just so they can get elected!.

If Obama becomes president, we will have to wait and see if he delivers on his promises (most politicians dont).

Moreover, I feel this blog focuses too much on race being an issue!, and the "holy grail" that is the "first black president" and how "great" it would be to make history!, ... without even considering what Obama brings to the table in terms of Policy (which should be more important in the run up to an election)!

... moreover, Obama is half white and half black, just for the record (or maybe being half white is negligiable, as everyone wants to achieve this "holy grail")

Obamas economic policy and relative inexperience in these troubled economic times, may well be the final "nail in the coffin" of developed western societies!,

basically, all im saying is, watch this space!

1. I for one am tired of everyone jumping on the ol' "we should 'ave kept Martin Jol" bandwagon!!,... yes he was treated badly, I don't excuse that, but when Juande Ramos won the carling cup- he was the talk of the town!! and no one gave a monkeys about Martin Jol...

2. Why are tottenham failing??, its not rocket science!, the last few seasons, the vast majority of Tottenhams goals have come from Berbatov, Keane and Defoe... getting rid of them was suicide!

imagine Man Utd selling C.Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney just before the season starts??, even Man Utd would be average at best!, it would be lunacy!
39th game to take back seat - for now 2:49pm on 09 Oct 2008 I think Mihir bose articles always just repeat the articles on the bbc.co.uk website (sometimes word for word) ... thats why the football purists out there that are constantly up to date on football matters get frustrated when they read the "Mihir Bose blog" and find unopinionated information that they have already read!!

Rather than just state what happend, say what you think about the matter!!

... I personally think its ludicrous that we are still contemplating this "39th game", it doesn't make sense!

1. 39th game, who plays who??...do we put

-Manchester United vs Stoke

-Chelsea vs Arsenal,

Chelsea and Arsenal draw, Man Utd win an easier match and win the league!... is that fair??? No way!!

2. If we have Bolton vs Stoke, in a country like Dubai (no real football fan base), the only teams people have heard out there are the Top 4, ... NO ONE will turn up to watch it!!

- In general, NO ONE will turn up to watch anyone outside the TOP 4

- this "great idea", will merely make the rich clubs richer and the poor clubs poorer!!

3. to reiterate, the fact we are still even considering this "39th game", is completely beyond me!

My two cents!
39th game to take back seat - for now 6:53pm on 08 Oct 2008 I dont understand why everyone slates Mr Bose. He gives quite telling information that 99.9% of the population would not otherwise have access to. Okay, its not what you may want him to write about but there are other blogs addressing these matters.

The Idea of a Blog is that its a chance for an opinion, not just copy and pasting from News articles....ergo telling us what we already know!

Mihir Bose NEVER gives his opinion and merely bores us to death, telling us what we already know!

Read other blogs like Robbos, they are much more interesting!, as they are opinionated on their topics!

unliike that Mihir "copy and paste from other websites and tell everyone what they already know" Bose, you actually give an opinion, - which is the whole point of a blog and I salute you for it!!

yeh, Moyes may have done all he can with the Toffees and be looking for a bigger club!

I think Manchester City's windfall of liquid cash and imminent arrival of a new dreamteam may have affected his moral aswell... as now Man City look like the most likely team to break into that top 4!
