BBC HD: Autumn Schedule 11:56am on 27 Oct 2009 #157 I agree with you Paul even though I haven't a clue what "primus inter pares" means. The basic principle for HD should be to go with the biggest audience.

Emma should have been simulcast from episode 1 & if the Harpers Island contract ruled out separate SD & HD showings the BBC3 controller should have moved it.

I await with interest Danielle's decision on the Sunday 8PM slot if Antiques Roadshow & Top Gear are both on at the same time. I know what would give her less grief in these forums!
BBC HD: Autumn Schedule 8:07pm on 26 Oct 2009 Another puzzling scheduling decision is tonight's Panorama, the first in HD I think?

Why is it not simulcast with BBC1? All thats on HD at the time is a repeat of Emma - just 24 hours after its first showing!

Horizon is also not simulcast & Future Of Food was on HD 4 weeks after it was on BBC2.

Me thinks you don't like documentaries.
BBC HD: Autumn Schedule 11:17am on 16 Sep 2009 A second (pseudo) HD channel could be done now for PVR owners.

Programs would be downloaded overnight in advance, either on BBC HD or the internet, but would not be made available to view until the scheduled transmission time.

Thus on Friday for instance, SCD would be transmitted live on BBC HD while The Tudors would have been downloaded Thursday night. Viewers would think it was being broadcast at the same time as SCD, but in reality it would play from the hard disc.
BBC HD: Autumn Schedule 3:15pm on 08 Sep 2009 I see The Week We Went To War is on BBC HD a week after its airing on BBC1.

Even worse, Future Of Food is on BBC HD 4 weeks following its BBC2 airing.

And what did BBC HD broadcast when FoF was on BBC2 on 17th August?, a REPEAT of The Victorians.

Something has got to be done as this is likely to get worse as more programs are made in HD. Perhaps the solution is to delay the SD broadcast until a HD simulcast slot is available?
Dragons' Den on HD 1:00pm on 22 Jul 2009 Can I ask you to reconsider showing as many films as possible in HD.

I've already seen nearly all the films shown on the BBC, or I own the DVD's, so there is no point in watching them again unless you can bring something new to the viewing experience.

A case in point were the three Terminator films shown a few weeks ago on BBC1, ITV HD & Five.

Guess which of the three I watched - yes, T2 on ITV HD.

As an added bonus it should be a very low cost option for you.

Well last weeks Anne Frank repeat was DOG free, thank you, but on yesterdays episode it was back!!!

Please remove the infernal thing from everything, that way there will be no more mistakes.

BBC HD: Update and Christmas Schedule 08:00am on 05 Dec 2008 Panorama was only on BBC1. It was an excellent program as the viewing figures will no doubt reveal.

BBC HD had a Green Green Grass repeat at 20:00hrs.

The missing Little Dorrit will be shown in the Sunday repeat slot.
