Daniels sacrifices bonus 10:18am on 11 Feb 2009 I'm sick of this! LloydsTSB is a conservative bank, which has kept it's nose infinitely cleaner than the rest. Then the Government were looking for someone to buy out HBOS as they couldn't afford to see another huge high street name crash. They persuaded LloydsTSB to merge, as a white knight, but the merger needed to be funded and as HBOS books are a complete can of worms this funding needed to be substantial. Yes, LloydsTSB shares have tumbled along with the rest of the industry, but without the merger, their share price seriously undervalues the company.
