Can James answer England call? 12:36pm on 08 Oct 2009 The trouble is we were spoiled with the likes of Shilton, Clemence and Parkes. In the current era people like Nigel Spink and Steve Ogrizovic would have 50 odd caps each. Great keepers who never got a look in. Capello should pick one and stick with him, chopping and changing won't help. And for the record - I don't think it should be James
Gentlemen of ill repute 07:16am on 21 Aug 2009 Anyone who calls football "wendyball" has immediately lost my respect. I actually like Union - and League for that matter, and as others have said, when you get a good bit of hanky panky (to quote Bill McLaren) it is quite entertaining. Why does this effort of an individual continue to blog about subjects he knows nothing about?

The fine tuning of pre-season 10:30am on 02 Jul 2009 I would ban pre season training and make all players return the night before their first game and see how many have beer guts and reek of ale. It might level things up a bit!
The fallout from Setanta's collapse 9:13pm on 25 Jun 2009 If the BBC got the BSP the Daily Mail would ridicule them saying they were showing pub football, if they don't buy the BSP the Daily Mail will say they are ignoring grass roots football. I love the BSP, it's like football used to be and should be - no sulky foreign players kissing badges!
The fallout from Setanta's collapse 00:58am on 25 Jun 2009 I'd quite happily revert back to the days of everyone kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday. Sky could then show the games in full via the red button on a match choice basis from, say, 6pm and also have an in depth Match of The Day and Goals on Sunday, certain games on police advise kicking off early could be televised live. I'm old fashioned I know, but it was sure as hell a lot easier back in the 70's and 80's
Andre and Steffi's Six appeal 2:32pm on 13 May 2009 Bring back Sportsnight! Have it on a Monday night, review the weekend action (this will be ideal for those busy over the weekend), get a couple of journos in, one BIG interview per week, have an interaction element (so yes it would have to be live) and do a feature a bit like Countryfile's viewer's video diary, call it "your sport" where someone does a short film on the sport they do, be it rowing, clay pigeon shooting, whatever.
