It's hardly leadership material of Tavish and Co to make one decision without considering the immediate consequences!

If the member nations of the United Kingdom were to field one team, does that not imply that the member states of the European Union should field one team also?

Lets see what France, Germany, Italy and Spain have to say on that one!

I live in a nation called Scotland, and proud of it.

The Olympics are nothing to football, and the Olympics are supposed to be an amateur competition, so where do professional footballers fit in? The IOC has lost the plot.

What is the point of jepordising Scotland's National football team for the sake of some under 23 competion, which in all probability may have one token Scot in the team anyhow, who might get on the bench!

Support the SFA on this!

'The real Gordon' 5:39pm on 23 Sep 2008 I believe Gordon Brown is not a leader but was an excellent chancellor.

Therefore in this current climate, he would be best suited to returning to Number 11 with his "prudent" attitudes he freely abandoned as prime minister and allowing someone with vision to lead the country.

Oh I forgot that would be putting public service before self interest - how silly of me.

"This is no time for a novice is so true" - think Alistair Darling.

As for another Labour prophecy - "Things can only get better". Yup, I believe that now!

Innocent merriment 2:09pm on 01 May 2008 Surely the commision is set-up to answer two of Gordon Brown's problems.

1. - he needs planning control returned South of the Border so we can have new nuclear power stations.

2. - he needs the oil revenue to fund illegal wars and fund trident.

Ps for all those non believers who think independence is too late - no oil well has never run dry, just uneconomical!

How long till the $200 barrel?

Surely it's a crime to let Westminster squander Scotland's assets on 2. above.

Surely it's an even bigger crime to continue to let Westminster do it
