In Search of Cultural Identifiers 3:23pm on 14 Jan 2009 I second FrankieRoberto's comment - check out LibraryThing. From their website:

"All LibraryThing books belong to a "work," a cross-user and cross-edition concept designed to improve social contact, recommendations and cataloging quality."

On a different point - I think that on some specialised music shows listeners would be interested in the exact version of a song played, and that artist/title doesn't give enough detail.
Under the iPlayer hood for radio 3:50pm on 27 Jun 2008 The iplayerbeta site looks great. As a listener in Germany, can I ask why we don't get any of the flash player action?
OPML feed of podcasts 12:15pm on 01 May 2008 The .opml file didn't work for me either, but the nokia podcast application on my e51 accepted the .xml file with no problems.
OPML feed of podcasts 10:48pm on 30 Apr 2008 These opml files are really useful! Typing podcast addresses one by one into my mobile phone takes ages. I found a webpage that generated opml files when I copied in the individual rss adresses, but this official opml file is even better.

Would it be possible to create a similar feed, that does not include the UK-only podcasts? The location restriction isn't immediately obvious on my phone when I subscribe to a podcast (although when I look at the opml file in a webbrowser, I can see that it is mentioned in the description).
