The new iPlayer on the Nintendo Wii 6:29pm on 13 Nov 2009 Oh, and one more I forgot as I'm an idiot, is this currently only on-demand content, any plans for live streaming (even of just radio)?
The new iPlayer on the Nintendo Wii 6:25pm on 13 Nov 2009 A few questions:

How will iPlayer on Wii deal with chapterisation, as we've seen on 5Live and some TV shows like Spooks?
Will future updates for the channel be delivered by redownloading the channel, or will it just load new stuff from the server?
What's the bitrate/compression/format/clever words etc of the video files streamed in this in comparison to the current browser based version?
And finally, you do realise Zane is on R1, right? :P

BBC iPlayer goes HD, adds higher quality streams, releases iPlayer Desktop out of Labs 6:33pm on 21 Apr 2009 Ironically, I go back to the video I stopped after doing the speed test, and it's running 1500kbps. Is the selection of service provider used when watching a video random?
BBC iPlayer goes HD, adds higher quality streams, releases iPlayer Desktop out of Labs 6:30pm on 21 Apr 2009 Is there a way to force choose bitrate? Even just as a hidden option for advanced users. I've never had a problem with the 1500kbps streams when in Labs, but with the auto-selecting, now when I've been watching stuff it works its way down to the 512kbps stream, despite the diagnostic tool showing that I have the capability of HD.

Download speed: 5754 kbps
Streaming speed 1: 754 kbps
Streaming speed 2: 4409 kbps
Streaming speed 3: 4415 kbps

(I know technically this gives a result of 3191 kbps, actually too low for HD, but obviously due to volume of other users this can fluctuate, up to 4000+ on previous testing occasions)
The Doctor Comes To BBC HD 2:33pm on 07 Apr 2009 Good news with those shows. Is there a rough date for HD on iPlayer, particularly, can we expect that to at least go in to Labs in time for Doctor Who?
