Rafa revived 4:07pm on 27 Oct 2009 What a surprise, united lose one game away at liverpool and they get written off the title. Don't get me wrong i was not happy with how united performed but its never going to be easy to win away at anfield, especially when they have lost their last 4 games and so NEEDED a win.

The one thing i did not like about the blog was the boring statement saying berbatov is lazy. Though he had a disappointing second half on sunday, i believe he has had a fantastic season so far at united, and really is going to start hitting top form later on in the year.

I do think United need to improve in january if we are to win the league. We should never play giggs and scholes in the same team, or indeed scholes and carrick, theyre just too slow together. I look forward to seeing hargreaves back but we need a RB, LM and a goalie pretty sharpish.

It's no surprise to see people saying united won't win the league this year as it happens quite literally every year. Just don't forget united lost both ties to pool last year and came out on top. Write off united at your own peril.
Giggs is Manchester United's shining knight 1:10pm on 27 Sep 2009 Giggs has got to be hailed as atleast one of the best players the premiership has seen, i cannot believe at his age what a difference the guy makes. How long do you think he will go on for? He seems to have a fair bit of life in him still.

I haven't been so furious with nani in some time. Time and time again he failed to pick out a pass, and normally tried to go for goal himself, the sub was inevitable and it proved to be decisive, if you look at the celebration you can tell how thankful berba is to giggs, he has been wanting the ball on a number of occassions when nani just tried to go it alone, and you could tell berba was getting frustrated with him.

Ferguson revels in classic win 1:44pm on 21 Sep 2009 The most exciting match i've seen in a very long time, it was magical. I just find it so fantastic that i dont remember a season in the last few years where we have picked up this many points already and having already played arsenal, spurs and city. On the season where most were writing us off before it even started, constant boring blabs about ronaldo.

I just pray that we keep this up but yesterday showed such desire and determination to not settle for the draw and it paid off with a fantastic finish to the game. I will watch the highlights over and over again.
Ferguson talk must please Man City 3:26pm on 18 Sep 2009 It is not a case of fergie having a go because city are a threat. Do you really think fergie will be worried because city have won 4 games? Don't be ridiculous, He has had a pop because city have intentionally tried to wind united up with that banner in the city centre and ofcourse to spice things up for the derby! United will put city in their place this weekend, and i for one cannot wait.

Madrid and chelsea are in there because you can see they are going to be difficult to beat this season (Though madrids defence will cost them this year) and as for united, well you said last five years 2 finals, while as united have got to 2 finals in the last 2 years. So thats why. I dont really need to say anything about barcelona, they will always be favourites. But how can a team who cannot for the life of them win their league be considered favourites?

Yes all the english teams scraped through but i genuinely do not think liverpool have got what it takes this year. Prem or CL..sorry.

Said it before and i'll say it again, Ofcourse we can.

Ronaldo showed a lack of team spirit in the final last year and wanted to win it by running a one man show. This season united will be a better side because they will be a real TEAM. Once we hit top form (which we are a long way off despite being brilliant last weekend), i honestly believe we will be unbeatable.

Fletcher is one of the best midfielders there is and he will be a massive factor in winning trophies this season.

United are going to be just as strong this season as they were last season, honestly, they may even be stronger. Ronaldo had glances of individual brilliance but no one man can conquer the champions league. United will now play more as a team and this is exactly what is needed to win. No more playing rooney on the left, no more chopping and changing peoples positions.

What i saw in the final last year was one man trying to take on 11, ronaldo wanted the glory for himself, not for the team. Every time he got the ball, no matter how far out he was he just tried to shoot. Awful. I'm not saying he's not a brilliant player, i am saying united may be a better team without him and i for one feel like we have our team back.
Real deals put La Roja in the shade 1:33pm on 09 Sep 2009 Benzema will be superb at madrid, as will kaka i think. But Ronaldo will fade into the shadows as did Heinze, Beckham, Owen etc.

The one big thing that people seem to overlook is how United bring players on and how they fit them into the team. Madrid have just gone and bought all the players who are "world class" without even a thought as to who will fit in, who's the key role, How it is going to work!! And for this reason i hope madrid fail miserably, it's ruining football. And you can say what you like about Uniteds spending but quite frankly its just not true. United only buy players that they believe will fit in with the squad, oh and never would United fork out 200million in one summer.

This season Fergie wants to prove he doesn't need to spend large to be successful, and good god i hope he succeeds.
Real deals put La Roja in the shade 1:46pm on 08 Sep 2009 ControlledMagic - Well put! I think that ronaldo doesn't realise he wasn't a one man show, united based their team around him. However, i don't think madrid will do that because they have brought in so many world class players they will have to try and work with each other and not base their football around one player.

I honestly think ronaldo will struggle this season and he won't enjoy madrid as much as he thought he would. I wouldn't rule out a move back to old trafford within the next few years.
Transfer deadline day Q&A 3:04pm on 02 Sep 2009 Good blog, and yes it seems every united defeat will be blamed on the absense of ronaldo. I do think Sir Alex's squad is good enough to be an absolutely superb team, whether that is this season we will find out but what brings me confidence is fergies arrogance to the media. He will be so incredibly motivated to get this side winning trophies to really stick it to all the media (aswell as the pride and glory obviously).

And i totally agree with him, there seems to be ridiculous price tags on players now that aren't worth paying. I would of liked to see another signing but if other clubs are being so stubbon as to stick a 50mil price tag on a player just because of the sale of ronaldo, then screw them!

Fergie to prove everyone wrong, united for top!
