Lottery of the tribunal system? 4:22pm on 13 Jul 2008 I'm not a palace fan but I think Jordan is absolutely right. The top clubs take the brightest acedamy prospects at a knock down price and the club with the academy is left with the ones that don't make it. Can't blame the youngsters for wanting to move to a premiership club, but the lower league club must be properly compensated. "Top ups" based on appearances and a good slice of future transfer fees would also help.
It's a shame England aren't here 2:59pm on 21 Jun 2008 England doesn't deserve to be there. Compare the passion shown by Croatia and other nations towards their country to the apathy shown by many of the multi millionaire England players who can't be bothered to "turn up". How often do we see an England player withdrawing from the squad only to play for his club the weekend before and after the International? England players involved in the Champions league final were rested for the friendly against Trinidad whilst their foreign team mates departed to play in Euro 2008! I get the impression think many top players are cotent in their club "comfort zone" and sometimes regard England as an inconvenience- David Beckham excepted.
Domestic matters settled, now for the Euros 8:32pm on 27 May 2008 Without England I'm just not interested. How can you get emotionally involved in a competition that doesn't contain "your" team. I won't be watching.
