I've read that Mandelbum is handling one part and Campbell another. While Brown is at the end of his phone, if he can find it having thrown it at someone.

So what exactly is Mrs Harman doing as Deputy PM?

We met once in Parliament Square when Harriet Harman was being investigated following the Deputy PM election. Like a poster previously, I think you are an excellent reporter - incisive I think is the word.

I am sure we will get a balanced view from you, and hopefully the subjects you cover will be those that the public wish to know about

Regarding Harriet Harman, she is to many people a vote loser for Labour. I can see very little "equality" in much of what she has proposed over the last few months. Today I was reading an article by AC Grayling that commented on the difficulty in matching idealism and outcomes. Never was this more true than in HH's approach to politics.
A final thought before a summer break 1:53pm on 30 Jul 2009 Sorry, but not a hope in hell of rebuilding Labour's reputation. As I've said before, many friends who are exactly the people Mandelbum wants to vote Labour have said it is too late and there is not a chance. They will either vote Conservative or abstain.

On a positive note, I look forward to Laura K running the blod. She seems eminently sensible and I hope will cover the subjects the bloggers wish to see covered and be TOTALLY BALANCED.

I think you will find that it was Nye Bevan who as Heath Secretary introduced the NHS, and not Ernie Bevin who was Foreign Secretary.

An easy mistake to make, like complimentary and complementary.

From my underatanding Ernie Bevin was a much more sensible politician than Nye Bevan - much less volatile.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the BBC interview with Emily Thornberry, Labour MP for Islington.

She commented on how she had spent several visits canvassing on the doorstep for the Labour candidate.

The only problem was she told the interviewer several times that she was canvassing in IPSWICH.

No wonder Labour lost - they couldn't even find the correct place.

Even with the Labour spin machine and the BBC's less than neutral stance, this was a great anti-Brown result.

And the swing at 16.5% was a lot bigger than your joking 5.8%.

I can't say when politically I have been happier.

As a one man opinion poll, just to let you know that no-one I know says that they will change their determination to vote against Brown when ever the general election takes place. He is the worst prime minister we've had and truly deserves the name Prime Minister which was coined as an insult (see the Parliament website if you don't believe me).

Return of the soapbox 5:28pm on 21 Jul 2009 Dave on a soapbox - really good news - meet the people and not talk to only the selected few loyalists (labour seem to hav eonly a few loyalists left) al la Gordo.

Perhaps Nick should get his own soapbox, other than this blog, and ask Dave questions from it nat one of Dave's meetings, rather than waiting for texts from Labour HG.

Good on you Dave - more of the same. Beat Brown to a pulp.
