I have just been listening to your interview with "the Home Secretary" Mr. Johnson about ID cards convulsed with laughter.

Basically, cutting through all the boloney, there is no cash so it has to be scrapped. This so called government is just unreal.

The recession does seem to have had a very positive effect on the nation, in as much there seems to be a sudden return to common sense.

Firstly, we hear there is a move to reduce immigration, secondly the green flim flam seems to have taken a somersault backwards and now the government is rethinking the very dubious policy of reducing parent's hours left right and centre.

I guess we can hope for more.

Fickle business 09:24am on 17 Sep 2008 This so called government is dire, it gets worse by the day.

Labour politicians keep on spinning "it's the economy". It is up to a point but more importantly it is the incompetence of the government as a whole, the political correctness and the failure to deal with the much more long term and pressing problems that beset the nation.

These concerns are obvious to everyone, including the government but they lack the will or political courage to deal with these great issues. This is what makes the population so angry, not Gordon Brown per se. He is just the lightning conductor, poor man.

It just has to be faced, this present administration is not up to the job and to coin a phrase "not fit for purpose"!
Lots of work for Kremlinologists 7:47pm on 15 Sep 2008 The summum bonum of all this is that Nu-Laba-PF are a poor bunch of apparachiks and the sooner they are out of office and hopefully out of any further governments the better.

Be under no illusions though, it is going to take years to clear up the mess these clowns have got the country into over the past decade.
Rebel tactics 7:00pm on 14 Sep 2008 Mr. Geoff Hoon seemed totally demoralised and depressed on Sunday's World at One programme. However, he was right about one thing, people are not talking about a Labour leadership election. They are certainly talking about a general election!
And they can't wait !!!!!!!
